Chapter 7
Zeke’s P.O.V
Hopper and Keagan were here before I was and so were Stryker and Sally. We all took sections and searched high and low very thoroughly through the whole floor.
“You know maybe we should have checked the security camera,” Sally suggested.
“I already did that, whoever it was knew where the camera’s where. But I do know it was a woman who did this,” Bill spoke from my left side. We were all standing in front of the main secretary’s desk. I was standing beside Bill and Stryker, I didn’t even know until he spoke.
“Someone’s taking a big risk for a simple job. That’s a automatic community services if they plead guilty if not they do 2 or 3 years of jail time,” Stryker was speaking law terms that I never could get a grasp of.
“I really don’t care about how long they’ll being doing time. I just want those contracts back,” I spoke, but end up sitting down in the secretary’s chair, “and I have a feeling I already know who wanted them and for what reason.”
“Wait Bill did you say it was a woman on the footage,” Becky suddenly spoke out of nowhere.
“Yeah?”
“So that means I can look at the footage from here,” she came to where I was sitting, “Sir I need you to move from the chair.”
“But I just sat down,” I whined seen my feet were hurting.
“MOVE!” Becky’s voice and face looked scary.
“Alright,” I got up and made my way towards the others, while she hit keys to pull up the footage for the security video.
“Shit!” Becky yelled startling some of us while the lights went off on the whole floor, probably the whole building and the emergency lights came on.
“Please tell me it was only this floor and not the whole building?” while I rubbed my forehead with devastation. Keagan ran to a nearby window and came back.
“No can do, it’s the whole building,” Keagan spoke so casually about it.
“Great, just great,” I leaned against the desk I by and crossed my arms.
“Well if there’s nothing we can do, we’ll just leave,” Hopper, Stryker and Keagan walked to the elevators, while the rest of us stayed where we were.
“Shall we tell them or let them figure it out themselves?” Bill asked while tilting his head to the side.
“No let them figure it out themselves,” I just stood where I stand and watch them.

I finally got home after going to that bitch’s apartment. Sally and Becky figured out who broke in and I already knew why? It was the old president and his secretary, but thank goodness we stopped her from handing over the files. We also watched Keagan, Hopper and Stryker for half an hour then they finally asked us why we weren’t doing anything. So Bill explained to them the reason why and now we are stuck there until the next shift of the guard, which wasn’t long.
I’m just glad I have the files and I had surprise waiting for me at the main entrance. Mr. Kato and Cloud, he told me that he was going to sign with the company and he invited me to come celebrate, but I refused the offer. I just wanted to go home.
And I thought teenage life was complicated, adult is just out of control at times.

It had been a two weeks since that incident and not to mention that Rikyu Kato is now dating my cousin. I was just informed that Rikyu is taking him to Japan for awhile then he is going to meet the family. Good luck!
“Well I’m off to Japan for two weeks then I get to see the family,” Cloud put his luggage near the door, so he can just grabbed them and go when Rikyu comes to pick him up.
“Good luck with that. I mean the family part not the Japan part since I already know where you’ll be spending your time,” I flipped through the morning paper only to have my head hit my hand when I was about to turn the paper.
“Ha-ha, I don’t understand why you don’t just go back home just a little while. It’s not like I’m asking you to stay there for the rest of your life,” Cloud landed beside after hit the back my head.
“It’s complicated Cloud”
“Not it’s not your just making it complicated,” he may have a point.
“You may be right, but what I’m going to say ‘sorry for ignoring you for practically ten years, but let’s start over’. I highly doubt that will sit well with them,” I got up to go pour myself a glass of juice.
“It was six years and they didn’t stop asking how you were every time I called one of them,” Cloud spoke with irritation.
Before I could respond the buzzer went off and Cloud went to buzz in whoever it was, while I thought it over only to go against the thought of going back home. The door open in came Rikyu with Stryker following behind him.
“Zeke,” Rikyu bowed his head a little to me.
“Rikyu,” was the only greeting he was getting from me.
“You know the two of are going to have to learn to share me,” broke off our, who will back down first stare.
Rikyu was the first to laugh and I just gave a smug smile.
“We’re just playing with you C.J no need to your panties in a twist,” I turned around to put my finished juice in the sink.
“Well we got get going or we are going to miss our flight,” Rikyu looked at his watched and picked up Cloud’s luggage.
“Bye have a safe trip and make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid,” I called out from the door way.
“I will,” Cloud yelled back.
“Not you I meant Rikyu,” I heard a ‘hey’ from Cloud and Rikyu laughing out loud. I shut the door, turned around only to come face to face with Stryker. Right I forgot he was here.
Before I could ask what he’s doing here, the door open and someone clinging to me. It was Cloud.
“You’re only gone for three weeks, C.J.,” I hugged him back anyways.
“I know, but you’re going to be by yourself for three weeks,” he mumbled into my chest.
“I’m use to it,” I push gently away, “you better get going before you actually do miss your flight.” He nodded his head and wiped the tears that managed to escape from his eyes.
“Ok, but you better pick up that phone when I call, if you don’t I’m catching the first flight to make sure your alive,” I pointed his finger at me.
“Yeah, yeah, now go,” I pushed him out the door and slammed the door shut. If I hadn’t done it that way he wouldn’t have left.
With my eyes shut and leaning against the door I spoke, “Why are you here?”
“Those contracts that were made up for the clients are asking for more and I’m not sure if it was to be done,” he handed me files.
“You want anything to drink,” I offered absentmindedly.
“Coffee if you have any,” Stryker was still standing looking for the first time I ever known him out of place.
“Sure just take a seat, while make some and read over these,” I went to the kitchen did I as said I will.

After three hours of reading and re-reading over three times. I went back into the living room to see Stryker out for the count. I was only gone for three hours, when I check the clock I saw that it was more than three hours. I was at it for six hours. I decided ‘what’s the point of waking him up if he’s already asleep’ not to mention it’s late. So I went to the linen closet to get a blanket to put over him and got ready for bed. Before falling asleep I wonder what it would feel like to wake up in the morning seeing him.
