"SO MY GRANDMA thinks Shaun and I are getting married." Katy stated cheerfully, plopping down beside Mina on the brightly colored bus seat.

Mina blinked in surprise, then a slow grin grew from her lips and she laughed loudly. "What?!"

"Yep..." Katy said nodding. "Where she got that idea from, we'll probably never know. But I just thought you should know, since apparently he's gonna be my husband."

"Wow, so you're stealing my guy, just like that?" Mina joked.

"Just like that. I'll send you the wedding registry soon." Katy replied, pretending to hold a serious look before she snorted and both girls burst out laughing.

"God, can you imagine? Me and Shaun? Yuck." Katy crinkled her nose in disgust. "Ya know, before you came along, I thought I was gonna have to put up flyers and posters to find him a date."

"What? Don't talk about him like that, I bet he had girls lining up at his door." Mina shot back. She knew she had lucked out beyond belief with Shaun, guys like him didn't really exist anymore.

Katy opened her mouth to reply and then quickly nudged Mina's side, nodding her head to the entrance of the bus. Shaun was racing up the stairs, slightly sweaty and out of breathe.

He rummaged in his jeans for the correct change and then scanned the seats, perking up when he saw Mina's hand waving at him. He rushed over with a happy smile and sat down on the other side of Mina.

"Hey." Mina greeted, clasping his hand in hers and lacing their fingers together.

"Hi." Shaun said back, leaning his head against the window as the bus started. "I'm lucky the driver was taking a bathroom break, I thought I was gonna miss the bus."

"Eh, it wouldn't have been too big of a deal. Just run the 10 miles to work." Mina teased and Shaun grimaced but she went on. "Come on, who doesn't love an intensive run  at 8:00 in the morning?"

"Your boyfriend, who feels a little hurt you wouldn't have held the bus for him." Shaun retorted jokingly and Mina bumped his shoulder playfully.

"I can try, Shaun, but look at that driver." Mina said, nodding over to the elderly bus driver. "How big, how strong. What can I do in this imaginary fight between me and him for your honor?"

Shaun squinted his eyes at her, chuckling while Mina shrugged, in a 'I'm just saying' way.

"Hey look. Look at that." Katy suddenly interjected, pointing over to a woman seated a few rows away typing madly on a laptop. "Look at that girl. She's writing a research paper on a bus."
