Chapter 5: A Bothered Mind

Viper and the rest of the Five decided to spar against each other outside the Training Hall to improve their skills in terms of combat. After about an hour of training, Po finally arrived.

Tigress- You're late.

Mantis- Yeah, where've you been?

Po awkwardly laughs before he answers.

Po- I know, I know, I'm sorry. I had to check-up on my Dad.

Viper- Why is something wrong?

Po- No, no. Nothing is wrong, why would something be wrong?

Most of the Five looked at him in doubt due to Po having an awkward smile which typically entails that he's lying.

Tigress- Good, then you can resume your training.

Po- O-okay. What are we doing today?

Tigress- Sparring, for now.

Mantis- Is no one gonna talk about where Akemi and Li are?

The Five look at Po for an answer since he's typically around them the most.

Po- Well I know Akemi went to go talk to Kitsune but I haven't seen Li. He's probably somewhere around here trying to practice controlling his lightning in a safe area.

Viper looks down when she hears that as she wanted to talk to Li about the claw marks on the floor. She knew something was bothering him but her thoughts were interrupted when her name was called.

Tigress- Viper, it's your turn to spar with Monkey.

Viper- R-right.

Hours later, at about mid-afternoon

The six warriors were still sparring, taking breaks in between to avoid any consequential outcomes from over exerting themselves, more specifically for Po's sake but the others followed along. Mantis and Monkey were sparring each other as were Crane and Po. Viper and Tigress were also sparring but were closer to the Training Hall. Viper lunges at Tigress and wraps around her arm but loses her grip which allowed Tigress to quickly knock the now surprised Viper off of her and onto the ground.

Tigress- Viper, you need to focus.

Viper- I know, sorry.

Tigress- That was one of your most signature techniques and one you don't fail at performing even on your worst day. What's distracting you?

Viper looks up at Tigress who was standing over her with her arms crossed and waiting for an answer. Viper sighs in defeat as she knows that there is no way she would be able to keep it to herself, especially when Tigress is the one asking. She can be almost as intense as Shifu at times.

Tigress- (sternly) Viper...

Viper- I....I'm just worried about Li.

Tigress- (confused) What? Why?

Viper- I think something is bothering him. I walked past his room today and saw that he had left his door partially open. I wanted to be nice and went to shut it for him but I noticed some claw marks next to his bedroll. I wanted to bring it up to him but he didn't show. With Akemi over wherever Master Kitsune lives and with Po being...

The two turned to Po who had just gotten thrown to the ground by Crane.

Po- Yeah! That was AWESOME!

Crane- Can you at least take this seriously, just this once?!

Viper- ...not quite the right person to bring this up to.
