Chapter 8: Behind Enemy Lines

A sampan boat floats into the Gongmen City's docking entrance near a low hanging bridge, appearing to have no occupants inside of it until the Five, Li, Akemi, and Po emerge from inside and hop onto a large rock that was underneath the bridge and start scaling up the nearby wall. When they got to the top, they spotted a nearby building that was just tall enough to provide a decent view of the city and climbed to the top of it. The warriors peered over the roof and surveyed the area around them and saw that the streets were bustling with people and that there was a large tower that could be seen in the distance. The group kept their heads low to avoid detection and began formulating a plan of action.

Tigress- That must be Shen's palace on the other side of the city.

Po- Great! We'll march into the tower and proclaim: We are the Legendary Warriors of the Valley of Peace and we are here to bring you justice!

Li- Po, that's not a-

Before Li could finish, the excited panda leaps off the roof with a fist raised in the air but quickly falls flat on his stomach because Mantis caught his foot in mid-air and yanked him back onto the roof.

Mantis- What are you doing? This place is crawling with wolves!

Akemi peers over the edge of the roof and sees the many wolves covering the streets of the city.

Akemi- I hate to say it but it's true. Look.

The group looks down below the roof and observes the city streets. Crane notices something and his eyes widen before he glances at Po while pointing at the crowd.

Crane- Hey isn't that the guy who hammered you in the face?

Po and Akemi turn their heads to look to where Crane is pointing and see Boss Wolf walking amongst the crowd of people, smacking a pig on the shoulder as he passes by.

Po- I do not like that guy.

Akemi- Neither do I. I'm gonna make him pay for trying to kidnap me!

Crane- Actually, you should leave that job to me.

Akemi playfully rolls her eyes at Crane as Tigress places her paw onto Po's shoulder.

Tigress- We need to get to that tower without being spotted by those wolves.

Li quickly looks around and an idea appears in his mind.

Li- We can use the rooftops. We'll have the high ground and can travel practically unnoticed as long as we play it stealthily.

Po- Got it! Stealth mode.

The group nods and ducks down out of sight.

A few moments later

The Five, Li, and Akemi continued to hop from rooftop to rooftop until Tigress quickly looks back to make sure the group was still together and stops in her tracks with a surprised look on her face. The group notices this and stops moving.

Viper- What's wrong?

Tigress- Where's Po?

As the realization dawns on them, they quickly glance around them to see if they could spot the missing panda.

Mantis- How can we lose a guy that big?

Li- We can figure that out later. Right now, we need to find him.

Tigress- Right! Li, scout the other rooftops and see if you can find him from above.

Li- On it!

Li leaps off the roof and makes his way to the top of the building across the street and disappears from view. Tigress looks down at the streets before turning back to the group.
