Leo's POV
I ran to the Krang lab, where we had once found her near when she had first broke out.
When the boys had gotten back, we had fought and I escaped. I had to save her....I felt pain streak through my body from my heart. She was in trouble! In pain! I could feel her...she needed me.
All the Krang exits were locked and had more security than ever. I needed help.
"Leo.." I turned to see my brothers.
I gave them a hateful gaze,"You-" pain streaked through my heart I cried out falling to the ground, Donnie caught me.
He frowned, "The mate bond this must be it."
I growled at him, it sounded wolfish....
"We're here to help Leo. We've come to save her."
Raph said helping me stand straight.
"Yes after you gave her up to the Krang, you gave her willingly! My Mate!" I growled I felt strange as if my skin were to tight and pain shot through me. I froze realizing what I had just said 'my mate' the words echoed emptily in my head.
Raph and Donnie shared that 'it's getting worse/don't tell leo' look.
"Fine help me get in....then leave us alone..." they opened their mouths to object but no words came out. Eventually they nodded, a pained look on their faces.
We scaled the walls and found a glass dome. We looked down hearing a roar to see a massive blue scaled lizard with wings fire escaping through its mouth.
"That's not possible...its not possible!?" Donnie clutched his face his brain hurting from the impossible.
"It's a Dragon!!! This is so cool!!" Mickey smiled down rubbing the glass.
My heart caught in my throat watching the dragon, "Kat...she's in pain..." suddenly out of no where 40 Krang soldiers with strange guns all hooked up to a large tub of blue mutagen. They shot many darts filled with the chemical hitting her in the back.
"NOO!!KAT!!!" I watched as she crumbled to the floor shifting back her hair had grown longer all the way to her knees but her special clothes Donnie made her stayed put, but were ripped and bloodied. She was laying in her own blood as it pooled bigger and bigger. And the fire was spreading growing uncontrollable.
"She's dying we have to help her!!" I crashed through the glass, the boys followed my lead.
We dropped down to the ground fighting, I've never fought with such fury.
"Leo! The fire! We have to go!" I hadn't noticed the flames rising surrounding us.
I picked her up, her touch calmed me. But she was going cold.
We jumped up exiting through the broken glass ceiling.
Once we were far away enough we looked back hearing sirens, the fire had now engulfed the building.
"Leo?" A hand was put on my shoulder,"We need to get her to Splinter."
I nodded looking down, she has to be ok. She has too.
We ran to the sewers, faster and faster. My legs burned but my heart pushed me faster and harder.
Splinter met us taking Kat and I to my room, I laid her down on my bed.
He worked quickly stitching her wounds and cleaning the blood. When he had finished he looked at me, "She is weak....so very weak.." his eyes drooped down in pain.
I stayed by her side holding her hand, she seemed dead as much as I hated to say it. I sat there most of the night, the others passed by my door looking in occasionally no words were said. My heart is beginning to feel empty.
What was today? Where am I? Kat where is she? My head was spinning with questions I felt faint. Voices and someone pick me up taking me to my room setting me down in a chair. My senses came back, my family stared at me worriedly.
Mickey patted my head,"Dude you almost passed out."
My mouth was dry,"K-kat."
Donnie sighed,"I've heard about this...in swans...and Wolves..."
Raph clenched his fists,"What do you mean Don?! He's obviously not a wolf or some duck!"
Splinter spoke softly feeling my head, "When a Swans or wolfs mate dies they grow so heartbroken they could and have died from it. Leo is feeling the bond stronger right now because Kat has been absent and is....not doing well."
"Father, what do you mean?" I asked.
He felt her forehead, "Her mind seems to be somewhere else...it seems to be withdrawn....And your heart is feeling such pain in missing her."
I groaned, I felt my heart catch in my chest at the truth of it all.
