Kat POV
The sun was starting to set, when i broke out of the Krang's lab. It was the first time in years that I had been out side. I took a deep breath and relaxed. Then i heard voices in the distance i wasn't out of the woods yet! I ran through the streets of New York as fast as my four legs could go. I stopped in an alley, breathing heavily I turned back into my human form.
I leaned against the wall, "I'm never going back!"
I froze and listened to some voices,"If we do not find her we will suffer huge losses and have to try and locate her, for if she is helped gain all of her powers she will seek to stop us and become allies with Krang's foes."
"I could not agree more with you, Krang."
I took off running again dogging through the millions of people, the moon was high in the sky before I stopped again. I turned down an alley, and turned back into my human form. I heard something fly threw the air and then I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. I looked around it was the Krang, I pulled the what looked like a shot out of my shoulder, they had found me. I looked around frantically, I was trapped. I tried to shift, but I couldn't. I was beginning to lose my balance and my brain was starting to drift off.
"Tell Krang we have located the one we be needing in order to carry out Krang's plans." My vision was getting blurry, suddenly I saw four figures jump in front of me.
"Not on our watch!"
"Eliminate the ones known as the Turtles, so that the will not interfere with Krang's plans!" I heard a Krang yell.
"Get them guys!" I heard one of the figures shout. Then my knees crumbled and I blacked out.
"Is she alright?" I heard a voice ask.
"She was just hit with a sleeping dart, she'll be fine." Another answered.
I sat up rubbing my eyes, hovering over me were four giant human shaped turtles. Each one wearing a different colored mask, purple he was taller than the rest, blue this one seemed more relaxed, red, who looked like he was about to pulverize the one wearing the orange mask, who had freckles on his face and was giggling.
"Who are you?" I said sitting up rubbing my shoulder where I had gotten shot.
"It's more like who are you?" The one with the blue mask pointed out.
"Name's Kat, and you are?"
"Name's Leo, that's Donnie in the purple, the guy in the red is Raph, and the guy who is about to get punched in the face is Mickey" The turtle in the blue stated.
"Any of you guys ever hear of personal space?" I said realizing how close they were.
"Sorry, it's just....." Donnie cut off
"What?" I asked.
"Your not doing anything..." Mickey added.
"About what?" I was a little confused.
"We'll in case you haven't noticed we're not your average around the block guys, if you know what I mean." Raph said playing with something that oddly resembled salad tongs.
"What should I scream once and faint for you or is there something else I have to do to make you feel at home?" I snapped.
Raph looked at Leo, "I like her, she's spunky."
I jumped up,"Spunky!?!"
Suddenly I caught a strange scent, I spun around to see a giant rat wearing a Japanese robe.
"I see you're now awake, my name is Splinter." He said holding out a hand.
I didn't move, I felt my animal instincts come rushing to my brain. The told me that he was gentle, kind, but also wise and dangerous. Part of me wanted to run and the other wanted to stay.
"I don't bite!" Splinter chuckled.
I took a step back right into the turtles, they had blocked me off. I growled at them, it was very loud and sounded just like that of a dog. The turtles took a step back shocked. I felt trapped, I shifted into a cat, before anyone saw I dove underneath the couch.
"How the Shell!?! Did she do that?" I heard Raph ask.
"She must be a mutant like us!" Mickey exclaimed.
It was true, I was a mutant. I fact I was one of the first successful mutants the Krang had, had in their horrible dimension X. I tried to keep the painful memories of the lab out of my mind.
The turtles spent the next half hour trying to get me to come out, but the soon gave up and left. I heard so one sit down on the couch, I saw a beautiful cherry tree blossom laid on the floor just out from under the couch. I marveled at its beauty, and edged closer and closer till I was almost close enough to touch it. I decided to reach out and grab it, so I did.
"Beautiful isn't it?" I heard Splinter's voice say, I hissed, at him as his tail rapped around my waist and pulled me out.
"Let go!" I said trying to squirm out of his grip, but it was to tight. I finally gave up and relaxed.
Splinter layer me on this lap and began to stroke my fur,"Kat, that must be your nick name."
I jumped off of his lap and shifted into a wolf and flopped down on the sofa, "Yea your right it is my nickname. My real name is Katlin."
"And your last name?" He said looking at me.
"To be honest I can't remember."
"Why not?"
I looked away,"The Krang took me and my family when I was young to there dimension. There they did tests mutating us more and more, but my family was, I don't know, different from me there human bodies couldn't take the change and slowly one by one they...." I couldn't finish.
I felt a hand pat me on the head, "I lost my family too, young one. Now tell me why the Krang treasure you so much."
I sniffed back a tear, "I was one of the first successful mutants they created in there dimension, a few days ago they took me here, to New York for something. They said something about the laws being different here and there mutagen wasn't working right."
"Are you hungry?"splinter said getting up.
"A little." I said following him still in my wolf form.
He lead me too a kitchen, and put something on a plate and set it on the floor.
"What is it?" I said sniffing the strange food in the shape of a triangle.
"It's pizza! Try it you will like it." He urged me.
I licked it then gobbled it down happily, "That was delicious!!"
"Now go back to the couch and get some rest, we will talk more in the morning."
I nodded and left the kitchen yawning.
