Leo POV
I paced back and forth nervously, waiting for Kat to come out of her room. I was going to have to tell her.....and soon, she almost took Raph's head off in practice today after he flipped me to the ground. She was becoming more protective of me, and she was starting to show more of her animal side now.
I heard the door creak open, my head shot up to see Katlin wearing a beautiful blue dress that ended just above her knees, she knew very well that blue was my favorite color, but then again it was hers also.
"Hey, you look beautiful." I said kissing her fore head.
She giggled, blushing at my comment.
"You don't look bad yourself." She said adjusting my tie on the suit I was wearing.
"Thanks, are you ready?" I said smiling at her.
"Yes I am."
"Close your eyes where we're going is a surprise." I whispered in her ear.
She nodded and closed them. I snatched her up bridal style and began carrying her to are secret destination.
"Leo!" She laughed still keeping her eyes closed.
I carefully sat her down on her feet,"okay you can open them."
We were standing in an old abandoned library with a cherry tree in full blossom in front of us and under the tree a picnic neatly spread out.
She gasped, "Leo, it's its so beautiful here."
"Yeah, it is." I said leading her over to the picnic blanket.
We sat down and I was shaking nervously. 'Come on Leo you've got to tell her sometime!' I thought. She didn't notice me shaking,"K-Kat?"
Her head turned to face me,"Yes?"
"Um....well do you remember when Donnie did his tests on you?"
She gave me a strange look,"Yeah why?"
"Well you see here's the thing you know how your part animal?"
She gave me a blank nod, she had no idea where I was going with this.
"Well animals have mates and Donnie thinks that......"
Her cheeks were flushed,"You mean you and me are mates?!"
"Well....uh...Donnie says you choose me as your mate....." I stuttered
Kat looked forward,"It's a lot to take in Leo."
I nodded in agreement, "It is...."
She didn't talk much after that she looked dazed and deep in thought. I could occasionally get a few words out of her but nothing but the occasional 'yea' or 'okay'.
Eventually I gave up and sat content with our scilence and watched the stars from on top of an apartment building.
