Leo POV
Kat was recovering quickly but she was still to weak to fight and she could barely control her shifting powers.
"Can I watch you train?" Katlin asked me.
"Of course you can." I said looking down at her.
She smiled up at me and hugged my arm tightly. I walked her to the corner and sat her down.
"Say here I don't want you getting hurt." I said planting a kiss on her forehead. I heard groans and awws in the background, I ignored them.
She giggled, "Ok but when I'm better you better prepare yourself for a one on one."
"Ok I'll make sure I go easy on you when we do." I said joining the guys in the middle. She shot me a glare and I chuckled.
While we trained I would hear an occasional wow or cool from the corner. That made me think Katlin had never actually seen us fight, she was always gone or unconscious. When we finished, I went back to Kat.
"Time for lunch!" Mickey said running into the kitchen.
"Come on Kat you must be hungry." I said helping her up.
"No not really." She said.
I felt her head worried she might be coming down with something, she pushed my hand away.
"Leo! I'm fine!" She giggled
"You could be coming down with something! So hold still!" I said getting a little annoyed with her.
"No, Leonardo!" She said jerking away from me again playfully.
I grabbed her by the waist and threw her on my shoulder.
"Leo!" She yelled at me trying not to laugh.
"Kat!" I yelled back laughing. I carried her out of the room to the kitchen and sat her down in a chair.
She crossed her arms and glared at me.
"I win." I said with a smirk.
She stuck her tongue out at me, "I'll get you back you just wait."
"I'm sure you will." I laughed.
We sat down and ate lunch it was pizza like usual, but hey I'm not complaining. After lunch Splinter whispered something to Kat, she nodded and told me she was going to go meditate with Splinter, then left. I was shocked mainly becoz no one willingly will go and meditate with my senzi mainly becoz its just plain boring. There must be another reason....
Kat POV
I sat down next to Splinter and closed my eyes.
"Katlin, you need to find inner peace to get over the nightmares." He said in a whisper.
"I haven't had one since we've been doing this." I answered simply.
"Then what is it then your voice sounded uneasy when you spoke with me."
I opened my eyes to face him and he did the same, "My powers seem.....stronger."
He gave me a worried look, " How so?"
"My thoughts and what seem my actions are starting to become more.......animalish. I've been able to control them so far but its becoming harder."
"That is not good. Have you told Leonardo?"
I gave him a sad look, "No he's had enough to worry about."
"Katlin, you need to tell him and the others as well. If this is serious we should know what exactly is going on, before something bad happens."
I nodded getting up, "I guess we should call a family meeting now."
He got up and followed me into the living room. Mickey and April were playing a video game, Raph, Don, and Leo were sitting on the couch talking to each other. I looked at Splinter, he nodded understanding. He told them to listen, they stopped everything and looked at us. I looked at the ground as he told them what was going on.
Leo jumped up and ran over to me, "Kat! How come you didn't tell me!"
I looked at the ground ashamed, "You would worry and you have worried enough about me."
"Yes, because I care about you and your safety."
"Maybe we should run some tests on you, Kat." Donnie suggested.
I tried to hold in my growl, Leo noticed my teeth clenched.
"Katlin, this could be serious. I will be beside you the hole time, ok?"
I gave in, "Ok."
Leo nodded and we went into Donnie's Lab. I sat down on the table, waiting for what whatever was to come next.
"Ok," Donnie started, "Kat, I want you to stop controlling your animal sense."
"Ok." I said unsurely. I stopped my self control and relaxed.
"Ok Raph?" Don looked over at Raph, who was popping his knuckles and walking over to Leo.
"Leo? Remember that time you and Mickey pulled that prank on me while I was asleep?" Raph said making his way over to Leo.
Leo looked at him nervously, "Yea?"
"Well its pay back time!" Raph chuckled.
I growled shifting into a wolf and jumped between them. I snapped at Raph as he tried to get closer to Leo. He backed up slowly and my wolf eyes followed him back to his original spot. Donnie wrote something down on his clip board. Raph moved an inch closer and I growled at him. He stepped back and Donnie scribbled down something. I made my way back to the table and jumped back on top of it.
"Ok, Leo she seems to react to you the best." Everyone looked at Leo unfortunately I couldn't understand what they were saying after that. There words were like a foreign tongue to me.
Leo POV
"Ok, Leo she seems to react to you the best." Donnie said. Everyone looked at me.
"Why?" I asked nervously.
Don looked at me, "Well I have a hypothesis, I think that Kat has marked you.........as her mate."
Everyone looked at me shocked, heck I was even shocked.
"Its just a hypothesis!" He added quickly. "But the things she's going through and with her protecting you even when she's almost 100% animal, its either that or she will mark you eventually."
"Why are you telling this to us when she's sitting right there?" Raph said pointing at Kat.
"Raph, she cant understand us anymore, well not while she's shifted. Look at her!" Donnie said.
We all looked at Kat, she had a confused look on her face.
"Kat?" I said walking over to her. Her head tilted a little and she let out a small whine. "Your right she doesn't understand us, Donnie."
She shifted, "Guys, I cant understand a thing you just said and why did you keep pointing at me?"
"No reason!" Mickey said quickly. Raph slapped him in the back of the head, "Ow!"
"We'll leave you two alone." Everyone left so that we were alone.
I took her hand, "Kat, how old exactly are you?"
"18, you?"
"19." I couldn't tell her, not yet anyway. 'Do you want to go on another date?"
"Of course!" She said kissing me on my lips. I kissed her back, she was perfect.
