Episode 8: In their own quirky ways

"HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME BACK. TO RECAP THINGS, THE FIRST EVENT IS THE OBSTACLE COURSE RACE!! IT'S A LAP AROUND THIS STADIUM MADE JUST FOR TODAY!!" Present Mic announced as Aizawa looked at him inside the announcer's booth.

"Hey." Aizawa said trying to get Present Mic's attention, but Present Mic was focused on his recap.

"ACCORDING TO THE RULES ANYTHING'S FAIR GAME AS LONG AS OUR CONTESTANTS STAY IN BOUNDS. IT'S A HARSH GAME OF CHICKEN!! AND ALL THE ACTION IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE CAMERA ROBOTS AT EACH LOCATION!" Present Mic explained.

"You really don't need me here, do you?" Aizawa groaned.

"Yes! Aim for the human's legs!" One of the camera robots cheered.

"Smash the humans!" Another camera robot added.

Meanwhile:
Takumi flew by the various robots, not even bothering to stop and fight them anymore.
'Knowing guys like Todoroki and Bakugo, if I don't start ignoring these robots, those two are going to catch up pretty quickly. I can't exactly count out the rest of Class 1-A either.' Takumi thought as he continued to fly onward.

"THE CURRENT LEADERS OF THE PACK ARE OVERWHELMINGLY FROM CLASS 1-A!!" Present Mic pointed out.

"But Class B and even the others aren't bad! It's just..." Toshinori Yagi, who was in the audience started to think out loud when Aizawa finished his thought from inside of the announcer's booth.

"Class A knows there's no time to hesitate. They've been exposed to the outside world, up close and personal. They've had that fear planted in them and they've endured it. They've overcome it. Each has grown from that experience... And forgotten how to hesitate." Aizawa explained.

'And the one in front now... forgot how to hesitate even before he ever became a member of the hero course. Although the next obstacle was modified just for him. Nezu didn't want him simply flying over the next part of the course so easily.' Aizawa thought.

Takumi soon made it to the next obstacle ahead of everyone else. It was called The Fall, where there was a giant pit and many rock pillars to use as stepping stones. Takumi smirked. This was going to be easy for a guy who could fly over the pit. As soon as Takumi began to fly forward armed jets started to fly toward him.

Flashback:
"PRINCIPAL NEZU, THAT'S INSANE! THOSE ARE RETIRED MILITARY JETS!" Class 1-B teacher, Vlad King yelled in horror after Nezu revealed his intention to make some old, unused F-22 Raptors an obstacle should the Obstacle Course be randomly selected by the event picker screen.

"Why the sudden change of plans? Military weapons are dangerous, even for Pro Heroes. We risk pushing the students too hard, too fast." Toshinori Yagi added.

"Vlad King, All Might... your concerns are heard however... this year is a bit of an unusual year. We have a group of villains attack our first year Hero students to get at All Might, a vigilante became so popular that he became something of a symbol to the quirkless community, and now... that vigilante has become a hero student. Look at the file I will now present to you." Nezu instructed as he passed them all a file on Takumi Sakai. The heroes in attendance opened the files and read through them.

"His intelligence scores in our support course exam... it's off the charts. Wait... no way..." Thirteen said in surprise.

"I never knew...." Aizawa said in shock.

"HE was the creator of the robot that withstood Doctor Doom's Death Mask? How can that be possible? Industrial minds all over the world like Justin Hammer and Boliver Trask has tried recreating a robot like that for years!! How does the public not know about this? How..." Midnight was starting to question before Nezu raised his paw to quiet her down so he could answer the questions she and everyone else had.
