Takumi Sakai was in a hotel room that he would be staying in for the next few days and he was getting his stuff organized in the room. In the room next door, Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson Parker was doing the same thing.
"HEY, GUYS. WE SHOULD HURRY OR ELSE WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT IN TIME FOR BREAKFAST IN THE HOTEL!" Mary Jane spoke loudly so Takumi would also be able to hear her in the next room over."Right." Peter replied before the Parkers heard a voice yell, "ROGER THAT!" The voice was, of course, Takumi. Takumi then grabbed his phone and looked to see if there was any text from Iida and sighed when we saw nothing. He sighed. He didn't expect for Iida to actually reach out to him during this time but he had hoped he would, if only to prevent Iida from throwing his life as a potential hero away by attempting to murder the Hero Killer. Sure, he also came to Hosu to fight to avenge the honor of Tensei, but he knew he wasn't going to kill Stain. At this he wondered if someone would care enough to stop him if he were to about to make a mistake that would change his life.
"Well, kid you do got me." The spirit of Tony Stark pointed out as he appeared to Takumi. Takumi smiled and nodded.
"Right. Thanks, Mr. Stark." Takumi replied as Spirit Tony gave Takumi a holographic projector that Takumi had invented, and then it showed Takumi a holographic model of the device he was recreating that, in Tony's world, had restored the mobility of James Rhodes after the battle between Avengers.
"Remember why you do this. You need to give people hope. Don't make the same mistakes I did, and remember why you do this. You do this because you feel responsible for helping as many people as you can." Spirit Tony reminded his student, who nodded as he took a look and remembered the days he had recently spent making a prototype with the help of Mei and Daisuke. He hoped he'd get to return to the lab soon and continue work on the mobility device.
"I will stop the Hero Killer from taking any more victims and I will get justice for those who mourn his victims." Takumi spoke, swearing it to himself that he would stop Stain. He then reminded himself that Tensei was, luckily, still alive and he let himself feel thankful for that fact.
Suddenly, an envelope slid under the door of his hotel room. Both Takumi and Spirit Tony had looked at each other. What the heck was this all about? Takumi shut off his holo device and walked to the door to get the envelope. When he grabbed the envelope, he saw that the name of an antique shop was on it.
"Emperor's trinkets. Must be some kind of advertising thing." Takumi spoke as he looked at Spirit Tony."We might as well see what kind of coupon they gave you. Maybe you can get your mom something nice while you are here." Spirit Tony suggested. Takumi nodded and opened the envelope. He was shocked when he saw that written on the folded piece of paper was his name, 'Takumi Sakai'. Alarmed by this, Takumi opened the letter and began to read it.
"Takumi Sakai, you currently do not know me, but I know of you, and of the ring you wear. I recognized it as soon as I saw the UA Sports Festival on tv. I'm reaching out to you because I, too, have a Makluan Ring. My step father stole it from someone called the Mandarin, who has been searching for it... and us ever since. Fortunately, you go to a hero school, so the likelihood of him going after you now is very slim. But, for the sake of our survival, we need to meet. Meet me at the address provided on the envelope. From, Zhang." Takumi read. Takumi looked at Spirit Tony.
"How the heck did this Zhang guy know where to find you?" Spirit Tony asked.
"I don't know, but I fully intend to find out." Takumi replied.
Later:
When Takumi, Peter, and MJ had been eating breakfast, Takumi mentioned the strange letter that he had received from Emperor's trinkets. It didn't take long to convince Peter that they needed to check it out and now that they had finished breakfast, they started to walk to the antique shop after looking up the address on their phone and finding that the store was within walking distance of the hotel. As they were walking to the antique store, Takumi was filling Peter in about everything he knew about the Makluan Rings.
"So you mean to tell me that despite these Makluan Rings being known in myths as some kind of magical artifacts, your dad theorized they were actually some kind of advanced alien technology, and because of the users of the rings being known to have mysterious healing abilities, your dad wanted to see if he could find a way to cure cancer with one of the rings?" Peter asked in surprise. Takumi nodded.
