Captain (Chris Redfield x reader)

Chapter 3

Months passed and nothing happened between us. As much as I want something to happen between us, there's nothing to expect. I mean it's normal that nothing happened between the commander and his comrades, we just work together. We did go on a mission but I had to be professional at all costs since there are people whose lives evolve, I can't act unprofessional or I might get kicked out from BSAA. Today was a little different Chris look more worry then usual, he call us to meet in his room

"We need to go to professor Chambers lab's and find information about Glenn Arias" he said in a serious tone "tonight" we nodded our heads. I walk out last while looking at my commander again, he just gives me a tired smile. I smile at him then close the door behind me. I'm still in my pyjamas so I don't want to stay for long too, I just woke up from my nap. When I walk back to my room I saw Nadia already finished preparing herself, she seem to notice me walking back
"Ready?" She said then smile I nodded my head
"Yeah, who's Professor Chambers?" I asked Nadia
"I don't know some brainiac doctor?" I gave out a small chuckle before walking in my room.

I take a deep breath and look at the mirror. I take a shower because I feel like it will be a while before I'm able to take shower again. I dress in my uniform, I know that nobody can see my face well but I don't want them to misunderstand me with the undead. I applied a little amount of makeup and tied my hair into a bun. When I finished I walked out of my room and it seemed like Chris already brought out all our weapons. I grab all my gear and magazines and put them in my suits while stretching my limbs since I'll be carrying a gun that's around 7 kg plus some more guns, magazines, grenades and some stun grenades. I sigh then hold all my gear and follow my teammates that walk to the chopper car. I was the last person to be in the chopper, I sat down at a spot and waited for the car to drive where we were supposed to go.

When we were at university there's some break in. I noticed that one of the rooms didn't look like zombies, but someone with a mind broke in. I don't have time to say anything since Chris looks worried and rushes in the university to find professor Chambers, I just follow him. When we heard a glass break we ran to that room, Damien and I shot the zombies and Chris kicked down the door while D.C followed. When we followed them I saw Professor Chambers. She has blue eyes and short brown hair. She is extremely pretty. Chris seemed to know her and help her get up from the floor. I looked around the room to see if there were any undead left there was none. I look up and saw an air vent, nothing came out from that air vent
"Something wrong (y/n)?" D.C asked me, I was frowning, after I realised I was zoning out I shook my head and ran back to my squad. When we walked out I saw Chris talking to the professor, I started looking at the break in I saw before, I must have been walking to check the zone out. I heard a male voice saying something, I didn't listen to what he said
"I think there's a break in" I said while looking at some chain and jabbing some more nonsense "there's no way that those zombies can break into a secure place like that unless they were already inside..." when I turned around it was Chris. I was shock then clear my throat
"That's my theory anyway" I said and tried to be professional and hoped that he didn't notice that I was zoning out. I stand up Chris smiled and seem to knew that I did not listen to what he said, he pushed my shoulder to help me walk
"I know how to walk sir" I said while rolling my eyes in a teasing way
"Everyone's waiting" he said, his toughness in a moment fade away.

When I sat down in the car, we're driving to a hotel that professor Chambers stayed at. I didn't pay any attention to what people were talking so when Chris walked out of the car and closed the door. I asked Nadia who sat beside me where Chris went with an emotionless face since I feel worn out today, however Nadia just looked at me and smirked.
"Something wrong? Also you didn't answer me" I said in annoyed tone
"I smell jealousy from you, does anybody else smell it?" Nadia asked Damien and D.C turn back and smirk as well.
"Well I kinda smell it, do you D.C?" Damien nudged his elbow at D.C. D.C, smiled and chuckled a bit. I rolled my eyes and smirk to their jokes
"Please, I'm not the jealous type" I smile "now are you going to tell me?" I said while relaxing my shoulder. Nadia chuckled and look at me
"I don't know, he might go to see his girl of the night?" Nadia jokes I want to say 'His girl of the night is right here duh'. But I just laughed at her joke and rested my head to the window, and waited for the real answer D.C saw me and answered my question instead of Nadia.
"He went to talks to professor Chamber about Glenn Arias" he said and smile gently, I nod my head and smile

"Thanks D.C I should have asked you instead" I chuckled and saw Chris walking back from the hotel, seeming like they were done talking. I still rest my head on the window when he walks in, everyone grins and Nadia nudged her elbow at me. I smile but really was I actually jealous? I shook my head and sat up properly. Something didn't feel right in my body. I roll my shoulders then try to relax my neck as well.
"Something wrong (y/n)?" Chris said and looked at me I shook my head "well if you feel bad just tell me we need you to be good got it?" He said with demand voice tone I nodded my head
"What are we doing anyway sir?" I ask and trying to pay attention to what he said
"We'll be heading to an expert" he said and scoff.
