Chapter 6

We arrived at Arias' base, it seemed like he was preparing for us? It wasn't hard to get in his base, especially with a person who sells viruses. He must have had a plan, by accident I was gritting my teeth and frowning my face. A hand touched my shoulder that made me startle a little bit, it was Chris.
"Hey it's going to be alright" he smiled like the first time I met him a gentle smile. Within a second my mood was lifted. I pretended to give him a tired smile even though I was screaming inside as he pulled over. I take a deep breath and open the door. We run into the building Chris and I were shooting down the camera that Arias is watching us, His voice come through the intercom
"Thanks to professor Chambers we made the virus much stronger, if you can stick around for 20 minutes you'll see how strong" we both put a timer on for 20 minutes and we kept running. In the hallway a door opens and a group of the undead walk out. I grit my teeth and start shooting them. This is going to waste my bullet. I didn't realise that Chris was behind me so I bumped into him, there's no time to say sorry or blush so I didn't pay attention to him and reach into my back pocket. I grabbed a grenade and threw it at the group of the zombies, it exploded pretty quick and we're clear. Leon burst through a door that was wide open and rushed to us.
"Sorry I'm late I had to take the stairs" he said then another door opened just how many doors does this building have? A bunch more zombies rush to us. I tightened my grip on the gun, and start shootings
"Professor won't have enough time!" I yell while shooting another zombies
"Then split up" Leon said and we ran off into different places.

I end up running into a room that is empty, there was nothing then I heard a voice, a creepy yet gentle voice.
"Who do we have here?" It was Arias'. His voice wasn't from the intercom but from himself standing in the middle of the hallway and smiled. I point my gun at him
"Glenn Arias, you are under arrest for being a terrorist! Drop your weapons and show your hands where I can see them!" I commanded while pointing a gun at him he just stood there smiling "NOW!" I growled. He ran towards me and tackled, he had so much force with his tackled he pinned me down on the ground. I kicked his groin and pushed him off me, I grabbed a flash grenade and threw it where Arias was. I flee the scene, our main priority is to save professor Chambers. I ran to a different room and saw Chris with the professor. She is wearing a wedding dress and she looks pale, I look at my watch. 10 minutes left.
"Do you see any cure on your way here?" I shook my head Chris add
"I already told Nadia to get us from the rooftop" I just nodded my head
"You and Rebecca go to the rooftop, I'll look for the cures" he nodded and I ran out to find at least a map to this huge building. I saw a security room and looked at the screen for the cure. Found it.

I made it to the rooftop with a tank of cure, if Arias was planning to turn everyone into zombies why bother create a cure? There was no time to think about that. I rushed through and saw the biggest bio organic weapon I ever saw in my life Chris and Leon shooting it. I saw professor Chambers laying on the floor gasping helplessly.
"(Y/N)!!" Both of them yelled and that huge thing flinched it's claws at me. I dodged, barely the cure is more important than myself so I push it while that thing attacks me. It's nail claws its way into my legs, I groan before shooting at the the b.o.w, ah yes my trusty flash grenade was used again. When I stunned the monster I pushed the cure tank to the professor, 5 minutes left.
"Stay with me professor" I said while placing the aspirator to her with the cure, I felt something grab my leg. The monster threw me across the roof, my legs were already numb from the injury but the sharp pain still kicked in. I shot the monster. It was no used the b.o.w grab me
"Little kittens like to play growing up" it said while squeezed me. I feel like my gut will spill out, my ears start ringing. I thought I was going to die but right at that moment a bullet shot the monster and it's hand released me. I collapse onto the ground gasping for air. It didn't die but ran to the helicopter and attacked the helicopter. I try to find my guns to at least make it pay attention back to me. Chris reloads his grenade launcher and shoots the monster. He rush to me that still lying on the ground before he could say anything I start speaking
"Go check on Rebecca, I'll be..fine" I try to push myself up from the floor and look up to him. He still looked worried. I gave him a reassuring smile, he nodded his head and ran towards Rebecca.

After that huge mess, everyone was back at the helicopter and sat there to rest. I groaned while Nadia tried to fix my wound. That monster did a lot more damage than I thought it would.
"You should go see a doctor after this" Nadia joked I can only smile sarcastically
"Ah yes, great advice" I said then rolled my eyes, Leon scoff and look at me
"Seriously (y/n), how many grenades do you need?" Leon asked I shrugged
"Well a lot, I like to 'blow' things up" I said then everyone in the helicopter was quiet for a second, I didn't realise what I said after I saw a blush on Leon and Chris face. I think of a nice end line
"That's what she said" after I said that Rebecca blurt out a chuckled as well
"God (y/n)" I looked at her
"What? It's fun to b— you know what, I'm going to stop myself now" I shut my mouth before I blurt even more of this misunderstanding topic. We have a nice rest while spreading the cure through the sky.
