You step out of the car and make your way to your penthouse,it's almost 8:00pm,you badly want to sleep even though it's still too early.
You thought the surgery will only take half an hour but it unexpectedly reached five hours,it was hard,especially when the patients disease is very bad.
Lazily pinching number thirteen on the elevator,you lean your head on the wall and close your eyes..you tsk when you arrived fastly at the last floor without even taking a rest for a bit.
You were walking like a zombie and noticed a standing figure infront of your door. "What are you doing here?". Ran smile at you and raised his hand where he's holding a small plastic.
"I brought food,Mikey ordered me to,it's for you,and he said. 'SORRY Y/N I WON'T BE HOME AGAIN TONIGHT'. He's busy with works". You nodded and heist the plastic from his hand.
"Thank you".
"Why don't we eat together?".
"This food is just for me isn't it?".
"Yes but i also bought mine,it's inside that plastic".
"Which one?".
"The pasta".
You groan while picking the tupper of pasta inside the plastic and slap it on his chest. "Here,i don't want to eat with you". Ran didn't give up.
"Boss order me to guard you tonight again". You rolled your eyes and sighed. "Why? Is the assassins of rival gang are active again?". Ran nodded,worried.
Since it's for your own sake,you open the door of your penthouse widely,welcoming him. "Okay let's eat together, im very hungry".
The older Haitani laugh a little when he heard your stomach sing a small growl..you blush because of awkwardness and decided to ignore him...he noticed your tired eyes.
"Is being a doctor really tiring?". You sighed while taking off your jacket then throw it in who knows where. "You already know the answer,why did you still asked?".
Ran pressed his lips together,he was just savaged by Y/N and it really embarrassed him..he just want to open a topic. 'I shouldn't have asked that stupid question'. It's very stupid indeed.
"A-ahehehe,im hungry".
"If you're hungry then why won't you eat? Wan't me to feed you?". You insulted.
He grinned. "I will be grateful if you will do so".
"You don't mind if i will choke your throat with chopsticks?".
"Like i said im going to eat on my own".
The male wasn't able to drop sweat cause he's sweating coldly upon your words..scary.
While the both of you are eating the older Haitani can't even perk his eyes at you,he's afraid to talk either cause he don't have any decent topic inside his mind,he's afraid that you might just answer him with funny manner again and insulting tone..the dinner ended and none of you speak.
You immediately throw your tired body on the soft bed and hug yourself with a warm blanket..your eyes open when you felt the bed move.
"I didn't give you the permission to sleep beside me". Cold as ice,you noted those words to him,Ran gulped but still didn't get off the bed.
"It would be better if i will sleep beside you so i can protect you immediately". You scoffed,clicking your tongue in annoyance. "Your reason is so lame,sleep on the couch".
The older Haitani couldn't retort back and just followed your order,sadly,he grab one pillow from your bed and lay his body on the long couch.
He's just staring at the ceiling while playing his fingers,the silent male is waiting for you to slip a word and form a topic but sadly,you never did..so a random thoughts entered his mind and asked you a disturbing question.
"Y/N,if i will marry another girl what are you going to react?". Ran don't know if why did he asked you that but he's still waiting for your reply. "I will be very happy for you".
You also don't know if why's that your answer even,but will you really be happy he'll marry another girl and not you? Pfft,of course you won't feel anything. 'It's none of my business'.
Another regret,the older Haitani bite his tongue and hold his tears when pain stike his calm system. "Ah,i see". With lifeless tone,he said that to you and added.
"I will be very sad if Y/N will marry another man and not me,so to avoid sadness,i'll do anything to make you mine,i love you". Clenching your chest secretly,you gritted your teeth upon his words and pretend-sleep.
'He really believed that i still love him? What a Fool'.
