"Honey, breakfast is ready."

You called him while fixing the bacon on his plate. It's December 18 today. Seven days later, the marriage between Kakucho and Sami will finally happen. Each day you keep convincing yourself that it's Ran whom you truly love, not Kakucho.

But you know it's all a lie. You truly don't love Ran anymore because you're just using him for your own self-comfort. His warm love that you keep receiving makes your whole emotion go mixed. You just don't understand anything anymore.

"Good morning, honey." You felt him hug you from behind, his chin resting finely on your slim shoulder. You greet back with a fake caring tone and smile. "Good morning." Ran grins as he planted a lot of morning hickeys on your neck. You're used to it so you're not complaining and just let him be.

"Stop. You should eat, Ran-kun." He pouted and listened, unattaching from you. The male made his way to sit on the chair with a beam on his face to eat breakfast with you. You've been staying and living with him ever since that rainy day a few weeks ago, and Kakucho never called you through phone after the small argument about Sami.

You're also not visiting the Bonten's hideout anymore because you don't want to face him or see him. After your tiring work at the hospital, you head straight home toward Ran's penthouse to cook dinner for him. Sometimes Rindou tags along with you and also drives you to his older brother's shelter so he can eat your cooking too, since it's good.

"Honey, why are you not visiting our basement?" He asked while chewing the fresh food. You halt, slightly gripping the spoon tight between your palm, then fake a cough. Ahem. "I'm so busy at the hospital and I want to cook dinner for you every night so you can eat properly before sleeping."

Ran's heart melted. He's the happiest man on earth. Receiving your unmeasured care feels like love. Though little did the older Haitani know, you're lying. Every good deed you had done for him was all fake, no sincerity. In short, no love.
