JUNPEI waited nervously with Cyan. Both of them were in stand by, the black haired boy was fiddling with his fingers as he could feel becoming more anxious as time passed.

He wonders what the hell was he doing there. After all, how useful could he be? A rookie like him defeating curses like that bastard of Mahito? He doubt he could do that, he could barely escape from him.

<Oi, Junpei>

A hand softly lands on his head, ruffling gently his hair as a comfort gesture. He lift his chin, which he hasn't realized he lowered and was staring aimlessly to the ground.

<I'm sure you'll do great tonight>

The brown haired sorcerer smiled at him, but he only looked away flustered by the praise. He pouted cutely peeking at the special grade figure.

<How can you know that?>

To witch Cyan laughed.

<I just am sure. I don't get why you doubt yourself that much, because you're strong Junpei. You just have to find the courage to step in to battle. Don't ever hesitate once you find it, okay?>

The boy relaxed a bit, understanding getting worked up is useless. Somehow he has to help, he has to repay Cyan, Itadori and Nanami. They made him realize how foolish he was back then. He may be not be able to do much, but he'll do his best nonetheless.

The two sorcerers looked up, the sky getting darker than before all of a sudden.

<It's a curtain.>

Cyan said noticing confusion on their partner's face.

<It's a barrier technique that separates a set space from the outside via a black force field. Who's on the outside is unable to see the inside. But there's also commissioned curtain, a cursed object that allows to prepare a curtain with special conditions. I think in this case we have a commissioned curtain>

Junpei silently thanked the second year for the quick explanation. He recognized it from when he battled Itadori then Mahito in his school, there was something surrounding the area he didn't know what it was.

<I understand. How much do we have to wait?>

The grey eyed teen sighed as they scratched their temple, sending him a sad smile.

<In reality I already have a job to complete, so I won't join you when we'll be called>

Junpei panicked a bit, their hands shaking slightly. What if he does something wrong and he won't be able to correct it? Or worse, someone will die because of him? Because of his lack of talent and experience?
