Chapter 4

Seven days.
Seven mother fracking days.
The most she has done is moved her hands and leg. She squeezes my hand every once in a while.
I just want her to wake up. I need her to wake up. There's so much that has happened. David has been locked up. The cameras saw him shoot her. He's been convicted of crimes against humanity. I couldn't be happier. Uriah woke up. And apparently him and christina are a thing.... Most awkward moment of my life.
He woke up and three hours later christina like attackdd his face. Obviously he liked it cause he kissed her back... a lot.
They have decided to keep the experiment going and I'm apparently in charge along with my mother. I wasn't in on that conversation so I was voted into this with no say.
They're letting the fence be open and there are cars they call "taxis" to take them to the place where the giant metal flying death traps are to go where they want.
I lean over and kiss her cheek and smile. I brush her hair back and feel another tear slip.
I know she's gonna wake up but she's so weak.
When she wakes we are going back to Chicago and into dauntless and it won't be as bad as it was.
Not with me in charge.
Tris squeezes my hand and her lips turn up into a small smile. "I love you too." is all I say because I know this small act was her only way of communicating it.
Suddenly her eyes start to flutter. I stand up and hold her hand in mine as she slowly opens her beautiful eyes. She looks around confused but once her eyes land on mine she smiles and a tear slips from them.
I run my hand across her cheek to wipe away her tear and I softly kiss her lips. I feel her kiss me back so I know this is real.
"I love you tris prior." I say. She nods and coughs so she may speak. "I love you too." it's not loud but it's enough so I can hear her.
I call for doctor John to come back since she's awake finally. "We'll miss prior you've got yourself a good one here. He hasn't left your side since we let him inhere." John says and winks at me. Tris just smiles and nods.
"So I hear someone else is back from the dead?" I hear a male say and the wheel chair wheels squeak. I turn around to see uriah and christina pushing him. "Ahh who let you out." I say joking. He fake laughs and rolls over to tris' bed side.
"So looks like we can cheat death." he says with a smile. Tris nods and makes a small laugh. Christina leans over and hugs her tightly. Tris raises an a ans hugs her back. "What *cough what happened while I was out?" Tris asks. I smile and take her hand in mine.
I tell her about david being guilty. About the experiment continuing and being a leader and going back to dauntless. She nods understanding but skeptical. "Where's caleb?" She says worried. I look at christina and she nods and walks out. "So tris. Are you excited to go back to dauntless?" Uriah says waggling his eyebrows. She nods seeming unsure of what her answer should be.
Christina comes back in with Caleb who rushes over and hugs her. Tris hugs him back and a tear escapes her eye. I hold her other hand as caleb lets go.
Tris looks at me and smiles as more tears come down her face.
"I told you I didn't want to leave you."
