Chapter 5

Tris
I'm finally awake. Tobias crawled in the bed with me last night because I had a night mare. he held me close and I swear he cried in his sleep.
He flutters his yes slowly as he wakes up. Once his open to my face he smiles. "Were you watching me sleep miss?" He says furrowing his eyebrows. I giggle and nod. "Yes sir I was. You're very cute when you sleep." I say as loud as I can get out.
My throat is still sore from the tubes they had in from surgery so I cannot speak very loudly.
He leans in and kisses my forehead. "You watch me sleep as much as you want too." he sighs and holds me close to him. "I missed you so much." He says his voice cracking. I lean in and kiss his lips softly. He cups my cheeks with his hands holding my lips to his as long as he can. As if when he lets go I will be gone and it could be a dream.
He finally pulls back and leans his head against mine breathing hard.
"So we get to go back to dauntless?" I say confused and concerned. He nods and begins to explain about how they want us to continue the experiment. Like a reset but everyone can remember. I nod trying to wrap my head around going back there.
"And we are allowed to leave right?" I say. "Well yes and no. I mean I'm the leader so obviously you can if I say it's safe which I'll be going everywhere you go since you tend to put your life at risk." Tobias says jokingly. "But yes. We can leave. There are these taxis and te flying death traps we can take. I prefer taxi since I don't have to be 10000 feet in the air. But we will do what ever you want." He smiles and kisses my forehead. I close my eyes and nuzzle back into him and fall asleep.

"Someone get a tube in her fast!" Someone screams jolting me awake. "What the hell happened!" I hear the very familiar voice of tobias scream. "I don't know how he got in here! But he did four im trying to fix her!" John screams.
My eyes are staying shut. I can't be back in this state. I won't.
I force my eyes to open and sit up breathing in deeply. Everyone stops and stares at me. Tobias has tears rolling down his eyes and he runs over and gathers me in his arms. "Tris." He whispers into my hair.
I wrap my arms around his back and he holds me.
"What happened?" I croak. He just looks at me and hangs his head. "Tris." John looks at me from behind him and looks worried. I raise an eyebrow and sit back against the bed. "What aren't you guys telling me." I say crossing my arms.
They both look at me and tobias sits on the bed and leans against my shoulder. "David was in here. We don't know how he got in here or how he got out but he did." John says. "He tried to kill you tris." Tobias says. "He stopped your heart."
"Stopped my heart?" I say in disbelief. I don't remember anything. I remember falling asleep with tobias holding me and then I heard the screaming and I forced my self awake.
This isn't just about the experiment for him anymore. This is about me.
David is after me.
