It had been several days since Marcus had left and traveled back to Volterra. Alice was the only one who seemed to notice that the further away Marcus was the more angsty I became.

I was at the Cullen's like usual sitting in their living room with Rosalie, Alice, Carlisle and Esme. The others out hunting or with Bella.

Alice stood up and led me to the front door, smiling like the Cheshire Cat. "Alice what did you do?" I asked nervously, Alice may be small but she is not to be messed with.

"Oh nothing! It seems that there is someone at the door for you. How strange?" She remarked her eye brows twitching up in anticipation.

She opened the door and there stood Aro volturi. God how could Alice keep this from me, I swear I'm going to get her back. I probably looked a absolute mess right now, my hair was frizzy, no makeup and I looked like I hadn't slept in fifty years. Great.

"Oh! Aro! What a surprise." Alice exclaimed a smile on her face.

"Alice with your ability's, I doubt it." He said with an amused smirk his eyes lingered towards me.

"Hello Tesoro." Aro spoke whilst hanging up his coat.

"Hi Aro." I replied and Alice's smile just widened.

"Would you like to go to the living room? We could talk there instead of hanging around in the hallway." I said hoping to talk to him more privately, not that it would change anything seeing as all of the Cullens can hear every word we say, it just feels a little odd as Alice is stood between us listening to every word we say like she's eagerly watching a action movie.

"Yes that would be great." He responded following me through the household and into the living room, we sat down opposite each other.

"Edward told me you have mind reading ability's, what's that like?" I asked

"It's difficult at times, I have to touch the person to be able to read their thoughts which can be a downside unlike Edward who can read a persons thoughts whenever, however Your sister confuses me, I am unable to read her thoughts." He explained, I nodded thinking about my sister.

"Bella and me haven't been in great terms recently, ever since Edward left she had this sudden hatred towards me and it hasn't stopped since they got back together, she's also not happy about the whole me being your mate thing." I admitted, i was glad at this moment there was only Alice in the house right now, the others had either been hunting or left to give myself and Aro privacy.

"Perhaps she is just jealous, you are now the queen of vampires Tesoro." He said making a red blush appear across my faced, I didn't usually act like this around people but there is something about Aro and Marcus that make me feel so shy and nervous.

"I have a question, When Marcus left I felt this pain in my chest and it hasn't stopped since, the pain has been more bearable when you came but it still hurts, it feels like I'm missing part of myself, I know it sounds stupid but why do I feel like this?" I questioned and Aro put his hand on my leg in a comforting manner.

"Trust me any question you ask is not stupid, and I understand how you feel both my brothers and myself felt the same when you left Volterra. It's because of the mate bond. When we are not together it feels like you are forgetting a part of your soul. I assume because you are not a vampire and because instead of there being one mate there are three of us that you feel this at a much heightened state." He responded.

"That makes sense." I stated

We sat there for three hours just talking and getting to understand each other. If it hadn't been for the rest of the family coming home I assume we would be talking for much longer.
