Ron and Hermione found them asleep on the couch. Harry was up against Draco's chest, clinging onto him tight. They looked too harmonious together to disturb, like they just belonged together in that way—which was difficult for Ron to admit. He had a seven-year long disposition of assuming Malfoy was a horrible person, and did his best at keeping him as far away from any Gryffindors as possible.
But now Harry was sleeping so peacefully in his gentle embrace. He looked fully relaxed in his sleep for the first time in years, as Ron had seen him at least, as if he'd completely surrendered to Draco Malfoy.
When Ron and Hermione approached them, Draco opened his eyes, and Hermione said, "We have to leave soon."
Draco nodded and then rubbed Harry's back. He kissed his forehead before whispering in his ear, "Good morning, Scarface."
He kissed his forehead and Harry woke, though he didn't want to. He had sleepy eyes as he leant up and pecked Draco. "Morning, Ferret."
"Er," Ron said, "Mate, we gotta go."
Harry looked at him and nodded. Reluctantly, Harry got up to shower. When he finished, Draco helped tie Harry's tie, ensuring there were no wrinkles in his shirt. "It'll be okay," Draco said.
Harry looked at him. "I'm sorry you can't come. I just..."
"I wouldn't be welcome there, anyway. Let the families grieve without a Death Ea—someone who has done the things I have. I don't want to make it worse." Draco frowned. "I'll honor them one day. I dunno how but, I will."
"Don't feel guilty for having to stay," Harry said. "If you do, blame me. Tell yourself I won't let you go because I'm selfish."
"You're not selfish," Draco looked into his eyes as he finished, straightening the bottom and buttoning the outer black jacket. The suit was in Sirius's closet. It fit him well enough. "You're loving and caring and protective." Then, rubbed over Harry's shoulders and squeezed them. "Be safe."
"You first."
"I'm not leaving. I'm locking the door the second you leave. The Floo is shut off. No one coming in and out until you come back." Draco pushed hair behind Harry's ear.
"You have enough food?"
"Yes. Do you?"
"It's Hogwarts. I'm sure they'll have stuff."
"Don't forget to eat," Draco said, looking between his eyes. What he really meant was don't choose not to eat. "For me."
"I won't."
"I love you."
"I love you, too." Harry reached forward and kissed him.
That was when Ron and Hermione walked in, pretending they hadn't been listening the entire time. How could Ron not? He had to make sure his best mate was okay. Malfoy still seemed dodgy. Or maybe Ron would never get used to being around him.
Ron cleared his throat. They kissed for one second more before letting go. Harry gave him a quick hug.
"I'll see you soon."
Draco nodded, and he watched as the three of them opened the door and stepped outside. Draco watched through the window, which Harry was looking back at him with desperation to retire to their paradise in his eyes, but also determination to get through this week to go back to it.
They apparated.

Late that evening, Harry arrived with a special knock he and Draco coordinated, and Draco rushed to the door.
