Chapter 24 - Two Days Apart

Since Zhan and Yibo can not train at the moment because of Yibo's injury, the two have decided to spend the day together in bed. To cuddle with each other, watch a movie and give each other lots of love and tenderness.

But it had not even been quite 9 am when there was a knock at the door of the room. Zhan's father came in because he wanted to talk to the two of them. "I have to go away for a week or two, and this time I'm not taking your mom with me. But I don't want to leave her here alone either. And she has been wanting to be able to visit her brother and spend some time with him for a while. So I'm asking you Zhan to take your mom to your uncle's house today."

"Mhhh, but dad. That's a two-day trip. What about Yibo?" Zhan asked, confused. He already realized that Yibo wouldn't be able to go with him because he has to keep his leg still.

"Well, with Yibo's leg, he can't travel. He should take it easy for at least another 2 - 3 days. And you mustn't forget that many vampires live there, feeding on human blood. And they don't care one bit whether Yibo is with you or not." Explained Xiao Liang.

"Yes I know. But I don't want to leave Yibo here alone for two days either."

"He won't be alone. Maxi will take good care of him and his injury. She knows about medical wound care, so she's well suited to take care of his wound in my absence."

"Really Dad? Maxi?"

"She has basic medical knowledge and is perfectly suited. So don't make a fuss now."

"I'm not making a fuss. I just don't like the idea that it should be Maxi, of all people, who takes care of Yibo."

"I'm not going to discuss that now, and it's not negotiable. Get over it. Go get ready. Your mom is already ready to leave. Well, and Yibo? Don't worry, Zhan will be back in two days. If you need anything, tell Maxi. She'll take care of you exclusively. Please avoid getting out of bed and keep the wound clean and dry."

Yibo just nodded. He didn't know what else to say. He didn't feel comfortable with that either. Especially because he knows how little Zhan likes this Maxi and how jealous he is of her. And he knows how much it will gnaw at Zhan that Maxi now has to take care of him exclusively for two days. But he felt that complaining wouldn't change Zhan's father's mind either. Instead, he would probably only make Zhan's father's obvious bad mood worse. And Yibo didn't want that to happen either.

It was clear to Yibo that he had to submit to the situation. What else could he do? And also the problem with Maxi he would be able to solve somehow. Rather, he was bothered by the fact that he couldn't see Zhan for two days now and therefore couldn't confess his feelings to him. He doesn't want to leave Zhan's confession unanswered any longer and finally tell him that he loves him too and wants to be with him.

He could also solve the problems that are still giving him a headache with his confession. And then, Yibo thought, Zhan would surely not doubt him anymore. Then Zhan would know that Yibo loves only him and no one else.

Zhan's father stayed in the room until Zhan got dressed. Then he gave Zhan the car keys for the specially prepared car and immediately sent him downstairs to his mother. However, he didn't miss the chance to give Yibo a long goodbye kiss. "I'll be back soon, I promise." He said.

Yibo hugged Zhan tightly and whispered, "I hope so. And when you get back, I have something to tell you. Then we'll meet in the forest in front of the hut yes?"

"Yes, we'll do that. In two days at 8 pm at the cabin in the woods. I'll be back by then." Replied Zhan. Yibo gave him one last kiss and asked him to drive carefully. Then they both had to part from each other.
