Chapter 21 - Going out together

"Yibo? What do you say we don't go completely crazy with training for once today and go out together in the evening instead?" Zhan had asked me. I thought about it for a moment because I think training is very important. But then I thought, why not? Just having fun one evening isn't wrong either.

"Sure. And what do you want to do?" I asked him.

"Well, I could show you the city."

"What city? How do we get there?"

"All we have to do is take the forest road and then a long dirt road straight ahead to the city limits. A town full of vampires. A few humans live there too."

"Ahem, you're kidding right? A town full of vampires?"

"Yes. I don't understand why you think I'm joking? It's just like this castle, behind the portal."

"Oh aha, I see. So the portal doesn't just include the castle?"

"Um no. This castle, the small town and two villages."

"And what's in the town like that?"

"Well, we could go out to eat. There's a restaurant that makes super delicious food for people. Or we could go to the movies. Also, there's another exhibit at the Night Museum. Or, um no I'd rather not."

"Rather not what?"

"Never mind."

"Come on Zhan, tell me what else you wanted to say."

"I was going to say, or we could go for a drink."

"Alcohol?"

"Yeah, what else?"

"Well, I don't mind."

"But..."

"ZhanZhan, let's go eat something at this restaurant first, and then go to the Night Museum, and from there we'll go to the bar. I'd like to have something alcoholic again. And don't worry, I'll be with you. I'll take care of you."

"That's not what I'm worried about."

"What then?"

"Well, the bar is more for vampires and the..."

"Mhm I remember what you told me about the bar. I don't care if they make out there. As long as you only put your fingers on my body and no one else's!"

"So really Yibo. What do you think? You're the only one I want. I don't care about anyone else."

"You want me?"

"Sure. Who else?"

"If you want me, you can have me anytime ZhanZhan."

"Hey, not now."

"Why not?"

"Because we're at breakfast and my parents are at the table?"

"Oh haha. Sorry."

"Hahaha, go ahead. It's amusing to listen to you guys. You guys seem really close." Said Zhan's father and laughed out loud.

"Exactly. You guys are really cute together. Keep it up. We don't mind." Said then Zhan's mother laughing as well.

So slowly but surely I understand what Zhan meant when he said vampires are very open about sex. They talk about it as if it's something completely normal. Like when you tell someone about your last meal. As a human, I'm not used to that and I'm inhibited about it. But I don't feel these human inhibitions when I'm with Zhan.
