Stella pov
Love. Love, something that everyone talks about. Authors write about it. People romanticize it make it seem like the most beautiful thing that anyone in this world will be privileged to get. However, some of us aren't that lucky in this world.
I've always known at some point I had something for Karan but it was a hard for me to admit it to myself, so it was easier to act like I hated him instead of facing my own emotions. Now I knew this was going to be hard for me to keep it as a secret.
Lunch had started being tense cause of his girl and what Steph told her. She was extra on showing affection to Karan at the table. Going to the extent of seating on his lap at times.
I wasn't really affected the first few days but as the weeks progressed she started making it worse. She'd find a way of including my workplace as a place for them to flirt. I'm not against their relationship but if that bitch touched Karan again looking at me, it would be the last straw.
She acted as if we were at war for her boy and she had won. Oh how wrong she was, if I wanted him, I'd have.......
I stopped myself from that line of thought. I had to get back to work.
"What can I get you guys?" Sharon's table had Karan and some other guy I had no idea of. He had a girl next to him. She was a red head and cute. I've never seen a red head in our school.
"Hi Stella, this is my cousin Erik and his girlfriend Alice," Karan introduced them.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you. Welcome to Ben's diner, what can I get for you?"
"We heard you the first time, just leave and let us decide," Sharon replied looking at me.
"Okay, excuse me."
I went back to the kitchen before I slapped a customer. She was still a customer even when rude. A fellow co-worker, Jane looked at me pitifully.
"Want me to serve them, she looks like she's giving you hell."
"No, I need the cash and I've been skipping shifts cause of class. I'm sure Ben won't be happy. I'll handle her, I just don't know her problem."
"She's absolutely jealous. Don't you see the way her boyfriend looks at you," she wisphered coming to stand close to me.
I was busy refilling the juice tanks. I wasn't really looking forward to go back to their table. However I was the one to welcome them, I'd have to serve them.
"Yeah, I know how Karan looks at me. I just thought after he got her all will pass. Maybe I was wrong." I signed, he needed to stop. His jealous girlfriend was getting in the way if my work.
"Yeah, you were very wrong. You should go back, I'm sure they are ready to order."
This was going to be a long day.

It was a long shift, that girl really tried her best to give me hell. She should make sure that she doesn't work anywhere cause I'm ready for payback.
I went straight to the shower when I arrived home. That rat had poured orange juice on my uniform by "accident ". She definitely did that deliberately. I just didn't want to cause trouble.
The stain would be a bother to remove from my pink top. Luckily my pants were okay, cause then we would have had a bigger problem.
I quickly showered and washed my top. It wasn't totally clean so I soaked it in jik and detergent water. I would finish that in the morning. Being a Sunday I was going to stay home. I didn't have to go to church cause mom wasn't home yet.
