Chapter 7

Rabastan woke up as Julia finished cooking lunch and it was still 11. He frowned when he didn't see her in the room and sat up on the bed. He took the letters and placed them in his pocket and went out of the room. He went downstairs and raised an eyebrow at the delicious smell of the food and went towards the kitchen to see her standing at the stove just now finishing everything.

"It smells so good." He said and she jumped almost dropping the plate in her hands and he chuckled lightly. "I apologise, it wasn't my intention to scare you."

"No, no need to apologise." She said turning to him.

"Why are you cooking? Did the Dursleys-" "No, they are not here. They left afraid of you. I was bored. I didn't know what to do so I'm just cooking. I'm used to being busy whenever I'm here."

"Why didn't you wake me?" He asked her.

"I didn't want to disturb you. I mean, you are already doing so much for me. So, I just let you sleep." She said shrugging lightly.

"I just closed my eyes and didn't even know when I fell asleep." He said angry at himself.

"It's fine. You must be tired." She said and he shook his head.

"Forget it." He said and moved towards her. "I can't wait to eat them all."

"It's not that nice. I'm warning you." She said and he rolled his eyes.

"You think I care. You made it and I will eat it even if it is poisoned." Rabastan said looking over the food not noticing her surprised expression. "But, I have to wait as it is not yet time for lunch." He said and looked at her.

"You can eat now if you want." She said to him.

"I just ate some time ago. I want to eat everything, so I need to have an empty stomach." He said sitting on the dining table. Julia just shook her head and laughed lightly before taking off her apron and hanging it away and sat on the dining table beside him.

"I might have to go for an hour after lunch." He said and she looked at him questioningly. "Bella wants to meet me. I'll be back soon. Would you be fine?"

"Of course. This is not the first time." Julia said to him.

"No, but it's not the same." He sighed. "I threatened your uncle. If he sees you are alone, he can do anything."

"I will be in my room and won't come out." She said.

"Hmm, that would work. I will make sure to ward it so that only people who you will let inside can enter." Rabastan said and she nodded.

"I don't think they will return any time soon though." Julia said to him.

"We should always be ready for everything." He said and she nodded her head again.

"If you think that it is necessary, then fine by me." She said to him and he smiled at her.

"I'll be back in a moment then. I'll ward your room first." Rabastan said to her and went upstairs and she just sat there smiling. He is so caring towards her and it felt so nice that someone is caring for her. She sighed and laid her head on the table. She just wished, the Goblins would find her pa soon. She can't wait to meet him and spend time with him.

Julia smiled thinking how he used to play with her and took care of her everything. He loved her so much. She can see it in his eyes from the memories and she loved him too. He is her pa, she loves him with all her might.

"Done!" Rabastan said entering the kitchen. She looked up at him and smiled.

"Thanks." She said and he raised an eyebrow.
