Lauren returned home for the night and looks at Hamton. "Hey darling. Today was quite eventful." She hung up her fur coat and looks at Hamton, who was making them their specialty dinner, spiced tomato soup. "Well that sounds like a lot. Tell me about it." He continued to mix the soup up while she sat at the table. Lauren talked to him about the day. "We all came together to see more of the show that I was in. Uncle Wakko talked about how Emily acted out from kids picking on her at school." She rolled her eyes as Hamton shakes his head. "The school really needs to give those bullies what they deserve. Hey, can you tell me if this needs more spice?"

Hamton gave her a spoonful of the soup and Lauren snacked on it before thinking about it. "No, you're good. It tastes great." She tells him and he ladled the soup into two bowls before he brought them over. They both ate the meal and then Hamton brought something out. "I was going through storage, and I found this little schedule thing in there from your family's live show." Lauren takes it and looked closer at it. "Yeah.. We came out of hiding that day but disguised just to see our family before going back home again."

(Flashback: 2014)

Carrie was cleaning up the house and then looked to see Lauren come in through the door. "Hey darling. What's that?" She asked, pointing to the poster in her hand. Lauren opened it up and shows her what it was. It was dates for the Animaniacs Live Show. Where the family would sing some of their favorite songs from the series. "Huh.. I guess some people still love them after all these years." Carrie took a closer look at it and gave a small little smile, knowing they could be at ease. "Hey mom! We should go for tomorrows date. Please?" Carrie rubbed her neck, letting out a breath of exaggeration. "Oh I don't know..." She was starting to tense again, and Lauren gave Carrie her pleading face to her.

Gah. It was just too cute for her to resist. Carrie caved in and agreed to go. "Oh alright. We can go.. But what if Pinky and Brain are there?" She asked Lauren and then Lauren held up their own disguises. Carrie's would be her performers outfit and Lauren would become some random magical girl. "Don't worry. I got it covered. They'll just think we're cosplaying, and if they are there, we can get them to go. I got Elmyra coming with us.

((The Next Day))

Carrie and Lauren spinned into their disguises and walked up to the entrance of the building. Elmyra was standing there waiting for them. "Hey, thanks for agreeing to help take care of Pinky and Brain when we need it Elmyra." Lauren thanked her and Elmyra patted her back. "Anything for my bestest friend." She spoke in a normal tone of voice, to which Carrie was surprised to hear coming out of her. "Did you decide to change your voice?" Carrie asked her and she nodded. "Yeah, my other one kinda hurts to talk with now." The three of them went inside and showed them their tickets to the booth person in charge. "Your seats will be up in front."

The three of them walked down to the front seats before seeing Pinky and Brain sitting down. Carrie tensed up again and Lauren took notice. She points to the mice in the second row for Elmyra. "Get em.." Elmyra nodded and began going up to the mice. "Oh Mousey's! Let's Play!" She spoke to them in her signature voice. Brain turned to the voice and he immediately freaked out, running out while holding Pinky. "Haha! Suckers." Elmyra and Lauren high fived each other and all three of them took their seats in the crowd. Carrie sees them come onto the stage and she sighs softly at seeing their faces once more.

(After the show)

Carrie decided to go into the autograph line and watched as the Warners  took pictures and autographs with fans. She took a breath in and breathed out again. "Next!" The Warners called out and Carrie came up to them, still in her disguise, though she really didn't need it anymore, but she wanted to surprise them. "Hey there. Nice costume! You a Carrie fan?" Wakko asked, as Carrie gave them her journal to sign. "Yeah. I am." Carrie gave a small laugh. For the first time in a long time, Carrie felt really happy. "You even sound just like her.. You sure you're not a clone?" Dot asked in a joking manner. Carrie nodded. "Yes. I'm sure I am no random clone." She hummed in delight.

Yakko sighs softly. "Sometimes I just want to see her face one more time. Just so I can feel her touch and look at her smile. I don't know if she is still out there or not." Carrie sighs. She knew how desperate he was just to see her there again, and she placed a hand on his shoulder. "You gotta quit telling people i'm gone, my charmer." Carrie spins out of her disguise right in front of them, turning back to normal. "I'm right here." She looked up as there was a gasp in the line. Wakko's jaw dropped, Dot clasped her mouth with her free hand and Yakko stood back a little. "C-Carrie?" He asked as the people started clapping for her public return. Carrie nodded, wiping a tear away. "Yes Yakko.. I'm back for the public eye."

Yakko picked her up and they spun around, Carrie keeping a hold onto him. People whistled and cheered for them. Lauren was watching from afar before she came over. "She's not the only one who has come back for the public eye." She ripped away her cosplay and was back in her red skirt and shoes. Dot fanned herself, looking like she was about to cry. "Little Lauren!!" She exclaimed both in a happy tone and she broke down, crying tears of joy. Wakko brought all five of them into a hug and Carrie started crying happily too. "Why didn't you say something before?" Yakko sniffed, looking up at her. Carrie whispered to him. "I wanted it to be a surprise." They all shared this tearful reunion with one another. After the signing was over, Carrie went off with Yakko to get a coffee with her.

(Later)

Carrie got up again, about ready to head home for the night. Yakko held onto her arm. "Will I see you again?" He asked her, giving a pleading look. She sighs softly and looked away. "I don't know Yakko. I don't think i'm still safe with Pinky and Brain still running around." Carrie told him. "But Carrie.. I need you now than ever.. You know I'll protect you no matter what." He begged her, Carrie holding onto herself and then she looked up at the night sky. Some toon like Yakko made it hard for her to say no to. Carrie made a small sigh and then she began to go into song again.

"Okay... Yes, i'm damaged.. Really damaged. But that does not make me wise. We might be special, but we're not different. We don't choose who lives or dies! Can't we be normal? See nice movies? Sneak a drink, and watch tv? We'll make candy, maybe go bowling. Don't you want that life with me?" Carrie held onto him as he rubbed her back. "Can't we be seventeen? That's all I want to do.. If you can let me in, I will be good with you." She sniffed and pets Yakko back.

"Sure.. The people hurt us." Carrie tucked some hair behind her ear. "Or they vanish.." Yakko sighs gently as he brought her up again. "And you're right.. That really blows. Yet, we let go." Carrie followed along as Yakko held onto her hand, looking at her polished wedding ring. "Take some deep breaths." He whispered as Carrie held a sun dress. "And go buy some summer clothes. We might go camping." She points to the sky and Yakko held up some card games. "Play these card games." "Then we'll have some drinks and fries. Royal Ball night!" Carrie spun around into her old prom dress as Yakko got into a tux. "Lots of dancing!"

"Don't stop looking in my eyes!" Carrie danced with Yakko in the parking lot as the stars twinkled, both of them feeling the world disappear around them as they sang together. "Can't we be seventeen? Is that so hard to do?! If you would let me in, I shall be good to you!! Let us be seventeen!! If we still have those rights!!" "So what's it gonna be? I want to be with you!" Carrie cupped Yakko's cheeks and he held her waist. "I want to be with you-" Then they both spoke out "Tonight!!" Then share a heated kiss with each other, it felt like an eternity before Carrie pulled away, and Yakko held her from behind.

"Yeah.. we're damaged." She laughed a little as Yakko walked them back to her car "Badly damaged.." "And yet your love's too good to lose." They whispered to each other as they held hands. "Hold me tighter." Carrie blushed as she looked into his toon eyes while he said "Even closer.." "Please stay, if i'm what you choose.." Carrie spins back into her normal outfit as did Yakko. "Can't we be seventeen..? If we still got the right..?" "If I am what you choose... Cause you're the one I choose!" Carrie puts her hands on his shoulders and he sung back to her "You're the one I choose.." Then they watched a shooting star go by, finishing their song. "You're the one.. I.. choose.."

Carrie puts her hand on the car door handle. "Yakko, where I live, you can't find yet.. And where I will be, you can't follow to. But just know that I will always be there for you. We can still make arrangements to visit.." Carrie opened it up and Yakko nodded. "Okay, love. I promise." Carrie smiles back at him. "You know you'll always be with me Yakko." She gets in, starts the car up and drives back home. Yakko watches her go and walked back home with his siblings. He knew that Carrie was there for him, and he was there for her.
