(Back to the present.)
Lauren decided to clean up around the tower while the others were gone. She swept, mopped, wiped counters, took the trash out, and even fixed up the beds. She then passed by her mother's old art room while going to the bathroom to clean up there when she notices it. "Hey.. Mom's old art room, I haven't seen this place in forever." She opens up the door and walked inside. "Hmm.. I guess i could dust this place up a little." Lauren began to dust up the place and looked at all the old art pieces around the walls. "Aww, these look so pretty. I hope you know that mom." She muttered the last part.
Lauren was about to finish up the desk when she notices an unfinished drawing. "Huh? What's this?" She picked it up and blew the dust away, and then sees a toon girl on it. "Aww, Mom was working on a new toon to add to the family." She looked at the date and sees it was made some time before her death. "Huh, I guess that this was made quite recently." She sits down with it and looked at it, She had short hair in a pretty fluffy bob cut, and she even had some cute glasses on her face. Her main color theme was on the side; purple it seemed like it was going to be. And she looks at the backpack. It even matched the skirt held up with suspenders. "Hello there little one. I guess Mom never got around to finishing you."
She let's out a small laugh. "Then again, I don't think she would want you to see her in pain." Lauren's little smile turned into a small frown as she began to think about what to do. She then immediately got an idea. "Hey.. Let's finish you up, shall we?" Her hand picked up a purple colored pencil and she immediately got to work. Lauren colored in the important parts, shading them and making black marks for the outlining. She smiles and hummed one of her moms songs to pass the time. After a little while, she finishes making the small toon. "Mom always seals her love for the paintings with a kiss.. Hmm..." Lauren uses her mom's favorite lipstick and then kissed the picture.
Nothing happened at first, and Lauren looked a little disappointed. "Huh.. I guess it only works when mom does it." She gets up and goes to leave before hearing twinkling sounds. Her body turned around to face the pictures and the new little toon sat on the desk chair, sucking on her thumb. "On second thought, nevermind." Lauren looked at her and picked her up. "Hello there little sis. I'm Lauren." The small toon blinked and looked at her, her tiny baby arms waving at her. "Don't worry. I will show you to the others soon." Lauren pets her gently and puts on a baby carrier and she sets her inside it.
(Later that day)
Yakko and the others came back to see Lauren cooking up a snack. "Hey Lauren? Are you wearing a baby harness?" Wakko asked, holding onto Aqua. She nodded. "Yes, but it's not mine." Lauren told them, not looking at them. She wanted to surprise them. Aqua was confused and she scratched her head. "What do you mean by that Lauren?" She asked Lauren as she turned around. Yakko was in shock. "Wait.. Isn't that the unfinished Warner that Carrie never got around to finishing?" He asked and Lauren nodded. "Mmhmm. This is our newest sibling." Crakko immediately picked the new toon up and looked at her. "H-hello there sis.. I'm your big brother, Crakko." Crakko actually felt so happy when he said that.. Big brother, he was the big brother for once.
Cassidy, Dot, Aqua, Wakko and Yakko all had their turns holding her. "Wait. Does she even have a name yet?" Cassidy asked and Lauren shook her head no. "No. I wanted to wait until you guys came back so we can all decide on one together." She sits down on the couch and Dot pulled out a chalkboard plus some chalk. "Alright Warners! We have some naming to do. Do we have any names for this lovely little kid right here?" Yakko thought about it. "I got one. How does the name Lyra sound?"
(Several hours later)
Dot ran out of the chalk since she wrote so many names, and she was getting really tired. There was several names up on the board; Lyra, Iris, Lara, Giselle, Emily, Amalthea, Capri. It went on and on. Aqua fell asleep from the long wait of deciding a name and Wakko looked at her while she napped. Yakko was on the verge of falling asleep. "We've been here for several hours! Just pick one!" Cassidy threw her hands into the air. "Yeah.. You think after Cass it would be so much easier." Lauren shakes her head. Wakko tried not to laugh. "You know, she does have a point." Crakko began to think and then got an idea. "Huh, it looks like Crakko has something to say. What is it bro?" Lauren asked.
Crakko picked up the baby toon and brought her to the board. "Let's let her decide. Hey sis, point to the name that you want. Use this sticker on it." Crakko handed the baby girl toon a smiley face sticker and she looked over the board. Her eyes glimmered as she took a liking to all the decisions. Then she slaps her little sticker onto the name that she wanted; and the name that she wanted was Lyra. "Well I guess we have a final decision. She loves the name Lyra." The ones who were asleep finally woke up. "Lyra.. That's perfect." Wakko smiles gently as Aqua clapped her hands together. "Yeah. I agree."
"Man, Mom would be so happy that we finally finished up her little project." Cassidy sighed softly as Yakko wrapped an arm around her and comforted her. "Hey cheer up Cass. I'm sure she's watching right now." He pets her head and then looked to the side. He sees a blurry vision of her ghost and she nodded at him. Yakko gave a small, unnoticeable nod to her only she could see before the blurry vision went away and they all fawn over Lyra.
