Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Early November. Great Hall.Sitting in the Great Hall we see our four friends sitting across from each other having breakfast. But Harry barely touched his food while the others looked concerned. "Take a bit of toast, mate. Go on." Ron insisted. "Ron's right, Harry. You're gonna need your strength today." Hermione stated. "I'm not hungry." Harry spoke as Cyrus noticed Professor Snape approaching them. "Good luck today, Potter. Then again, now that you've proven yourself against a troll, a little game of Quidditch should be easy work for you... even if it is against Slytherin." Snape remarked as he walked away with a limp, which did not go unnoticed by Harry.
"That explains the blood." Harry stated. "Blood?" Hermione questioned. "Listen. Last night, I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a diversion so he could try and get past that three-headed dog. But he got himself bitten. That's why he's limping." Harry whispered. "But why would anyone go near that dog?" Cyrus asked. "The day I was at Gringotts, Hagrid took something out of one of the vaults. Said it was Hogwarts business, very secret." Harry implied as the other three began to ponder. "So you're saying..."
"That's what the dog's guarding. That's what Snape wants." Harry stated as Cyrus looked at him with unsurety. Then they heard an owl screech, only to turn to see Hedwig flying in with a long large package, which she dropped as Harry caught it. "Bit early for mail, isn't it?" Hermione questioned. "But I--I never get mail." Harry said with confusion. "Let's open it." Ron said in excitement. The four of them unwrapped the large package revealing a brand new broomstick. "It's a broomstick." Harry said as Ron looked on in awe. "That's not just a broomstick, Harry. It's a Nimbus 2000." Ron stated. "But who?" Harry questioned as Cyrus motioned his head towards the High table, were he saw Hedwig being petted by Professor McGonagall, who gave him a smirk.
Quidditch Field
Later that same day we see the entire school out on the quidditch grounds. The stands were extremely tall so that way everyone could see what was happening, seeing as this game is played in the air. Three tall large hopes stood on both ends of the field. Ron and Hermione stood with their house while Cyrus sat next to Professor McGonagall, and Lee Jordan; a dark skinned Gryffindor student, and friend of the Weasley twins, who was the commentator and score keeper for the game, as they sat high up in one of the tall stands, though he'd much rather be with his friends. Caspian rested around Cyrus's neck like a fur collar, as he too watched the game. Cyrus could swear that Cas acted more like a person then a fox, but then again, foxes are naturally curious creatures.
Then the two teams flew out and around the stadium until they all met at the center. "Hello, and welcome to Hogwarts' first Quidditch game of the season. Today's Game-- Slytherin versus Gryffindor!" Jordan announced through the microphone, as all the students and Hagrid cheered. "The players take their positions as Madame Hooch steps out onto the field to begin the game!" Lee said as Madame Hooch walked over to a on old brown chest wearing a black and white referee cloak. "Now I want a nice clean game... from all of you!" Madame Hooch said mostly looking at the Slytherin team. Madame Hooch then kicked the chest open as two black balls flew straight into the air and the golden snitch followed. "The bludgers are up... followed by the Golden Snitch. Remember, the snitch is worth 150 points. The Seeker who catches the snitch ends the game." Lee Jordan explained as the snitch zipped past Harry and the Slytherin's seeker, Terence Higgs, before flying away.
Madame Hooch then grabbed the last and largest ball and threw it up into the air. "The Quaffle is released... and the Game begins!" Jordan exclaimed as both teams charged and the game began. The Gryffindors were doing quite well, that is until Marcus Flint, Slytherin Captain, knocked out Oliver Wood, Gryffindor Captain and Keeper with a bludger to the head, as Cyrus and McGonagall looked at each other with concern. With no one to protect the Gryffindor team's hoops, the Slytherin team, managed to rank up more point. Harry felt quite useless not being able to do anything except keep an eye out and search for the snitch.
