Do they like basket ball?

Inside the Scott residents Haley walked in to see Skill practically asleep on the couch, sighing she took her shoes off and let out a heavy breath she had been holding since the call had came in. She couldn't believe this young girl who had been tossed to the wolves without evening knowing where she came from, who she was, who her family where. And that thought brought tears to Haley eyes as she let out a sob. This woke Skills up as he looked over at his distressed friend, rushing over to her he brought her into a hug as she cried into his holder, once the tears had stopped she pulled away. "What happened?" He quickly uttered out unsure what had made his friend cry.

"Nathan has a daughter." That made Skill world come to a screeching halt like it had their earlier that day, "she's older than Jamie and grew up in the system." Haley said through sniffles, "Nathan didn't even know she existed." Skill wrapped his arm around the woman understanding now why she had been crying. It wasn't through the thought of him having another child no, it was the thought of her growing up alone, the motherly instincts she had become accustomed to after having Jamie. "She got arrested with her foster brother" The James-Scott girl explained, "they looking at time in Juvie if no one takes them in." Skills then looked around realising that Nathan nor the children where there, "they bolted out the door before we could even tell them the news, Nathan out searching for them." Almost as if reading his thoughts as she wiped the lose tears under her eyes, "how do I tell Jamie he has a sister?" She asked her friend only for him to be looking at the stairs. There stood Jamie Lucas Scott.

Jamie couldn't believe what he had heard, "I have a sister?" He asked making Haley whip her head around to him unsure how this conversation was going to go as she beckoned him over to her. Placing him between her and Skills, "yeah you have a sister, but she is older than you." This made Jamie look at her confused, he was never aware of any other children being around when he was younger, "you see..." Haley started of clearing her throat, "we didn't know about her. She grew up a hard life. But hopefully she will join us very soon with a friend of hers." Trying her best to explain it to the boy, "what do you think?" She asked her son.

The youngest Scott thought about it for a few minutes, having a sibling wouldn't be so bad, video games all the time, buying snacks, getting him out of trouble hmmm he could get use to that, and a friend well they are always good to have. "Do they play basketball?" He asked only to earn a laugh from Haley who nodded her head assuming they probably did. "Okay I'm going to go find a cape for her." And with that he shot off to find his newly founded sister something of his to make her feel at home.

Not long after he had moved Haley found buzzed, 'found them. Make two more space for breakfast. Inform Jackson.' The texted from Nathan came in, Skill though this was the best moment to leave to give the family some time to adjust but informed Haley he was only a text away and that he'd be back round later that evening.

The door eventually opened, revealing a pleased looking Nathan and two extremely anxious looking teens, who stood so close together they'd be surprised if water could get through. As they made their way in the two looked around, this was the best place they'd ever stayed in, big open space, roof that wasn't leaking, clean floors without stains and not a single piece of rubbish in sight. It was almost to go to be true. As the two where in their own world Nathan greeted Haley kissing her cheek, "have you told Jamie?" He asked her quietly to not scare the two caged like kids. Earring a head nodded, Nathan knew this was going to go two ways, they'd bolt or....

He didn't have to think much longer as Jamie came bounding down the stairs and stopped in front of the two scared like teens, putting his hand out to shake theirs being very grown up for a boy the age of 5, "Jamie Scott nice to meet you." Nathan watched the interaction half expecting to have to chase after the two yet again. But was surprised when he watched the girl stretch out a hand to shake his, "Raven Jade but you can call me RJ." Jamie smile only grew at the name, "Raven? Like the basketball ball team?" He asked in hope making the girl nod as she knew about the team, he then turned to look at the body standing round her protectively as if someone was about to jump out at the waiting for his name, "William Heart, call me Will." Said boy spoke to the youngest Scott, he hated to be called William.

Jamie nodded and carried on past the two towards the breakfast table, whereas the two teens stood frozen in their spots, Nathan just sat back and watched as the two made no movement to join them, "well are you coming to eat?" He asked the two, the teens looked at him as if he grew another head. Will was the first to speak up, "you want us to sit with you?" He questioned as he grabbed a hold of RJ hand as he took a step closer. Nathan was yet again confused, "why wouldn't we?"

RJ looked at the table and saw two placemats together assuming this was for where they were meant to sit, taking a seat closest to Nathan leaving Will to sit closer to Haley, "normally we get whatever's left when everyone else has finished." The young girl answers.

This sent a pang of anger throw Nathan, the lid of his emotions already rattling to keep it together whereas Haley couldn't help but feel more protective over the two now, "well none of that now. Pick whatever you want and eat up or I will put you more." She said in a playful scolding tone making the two look at each other and then both feeling a small tap to their legs they realised Jamie who was sitting opposite wanted their attention, cupping his hand over the side of his mouth to make sure Haley didn't see even though you could hear him, "she means it as well." This made the two teens laugh lightly as they looked back at all the food in front of them, pancakes, waffles as well as some healthy stuff. However the two hadn't tried half the stuff on the table. Pointing to the waffles, Raven turned to Haley, "what are these?"

The hole Scott family looked at the two unsure of what they meant, Nathan decided to answer, "their waffles, haven't you ever had them?" He questioned but when he saw the pair hang their heads he immediately realised how crappy their life had been and getting them back into a normal living world was going to be a lot harder than him and Haley thought. Instead of saying anything else Nathan stood up and moved behind the teens, placing Waffles, Bacon and maple syrup onto their plates, "try that." He told them.

They had watched Nathan load up their plates confused, especially when he told them to try what he had done, taking the knife and fork they placed the food onto before eating it, both looked at each other realising this was had food was meant to taste. Like a small part of heaven.

Nathan looked up at Haley who had tears pooling in her eyes, giving her a small smile and a nod. They were going to be okay.
