Jamie and Will were sat at a breakfast bar eating their cereal, as Haley quizzed the boy on his spellings. The youngest had a spelling bee coming up and their mother was quizzing him on everything as Haley made their lunches.

"Impossible?" Haley asked her son as her daughter walked down the stairs and into the kitchen.

Jamie had to think for a moment, "Impossible. I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E?" He boy pronounced each letter of the word.

"See, there you go." The mother smiled at her youngest.

Raven walked behind her brother with a bowel of cereal in hand patting him on the back, "nice work bro."

"See sometimes it pays to go with your gut." Will added on the end, he had been trying to tell Jamie he needed to be more confident.

The James-Scott woman was looking into the fridge, "all right, let's do, uh..." however she started to chuckle mid away through her sentence, "broccoli." As she held the vegetable up.

All of the kids complained who gross it was, "that doesn't go with my gut." The youngest stated making the teens laugh, "please don't put that in our lunch." The boy begged while the teens agreed with him.

"Only if you spell it wrong." The woman stated as she had four lunch bags on the counter, one was Jamies along with the other two being the teens and then there was Nathans. The man was not happy about having to go back to college.

Jamie took a breathe after looking at his siblings nervously, "okay. Broccoli. B-R-O-C-O—" however as the boy started to get it wrong Haley went to put the vegetable into their bags, Jamie was quick to correct himself, "no, no, no, no, broccoli. B-R-O-C-C-O-L-I. Broccoli."

"Nice save." Haley stated, "let's put it in dad's." The woman put the veg into her husbands lunch bag, "so, are you getting excited for your spelling bee?"

All the kids looked at each other funny, "as much as I can for a spelling bee." Jamie replied

"Who gets excited for a spelling bee mom?" Will asked her mother, he wasn't a big fan of school, just like Raven he was looking for a sports scholarship.

"What?" The mother couldn't believe what she was hearing, "I loved spelling bees when I was Jamies age."

RJ let out a laugh, "yeah. Dad said you were a nerd." Haley looked gobsmacked.

However, just in time Nathan walked in the kitchen to see all of his kids having breakfast as he pregnant wife behind the counter, "hey, you tell our kids I was a nerd?"

Nathan didn't see the big deal, "yeah many times. I'm not hones lie to the kids, hales." The James-Scott woman scoffed at his words, Nathan looked at the food she was packing him, "you do realise I'm going to college, not third grade."

Haley held up a pudding cup, "oh, you— don't want chocolate pudding?"
