After school, Raven and Nathan were practicing again. As the scouts seemed interested in her more so than Will as well as the boy choosing to slightly drop back and look into other sports. Nathan was spending a lot of time preparing the girl for the big game. In doing so he had asked the coach to give him all the updates on how she is doing however, what he didn't want to hear was that she had gone and gotten herself into detention.

As they were practicing Nathan thought it was best to talk about, "still don't understand this detention thing." He told the girl, she had been doing better at school, her and Will were back full time now.

"It was my fault. Sorry dad." The girl told him as she caught her breathe.

Nathan shuck his head, "cross court." He told the girl who moved to get ready to practice another play, "Darbus will take any opportunity to bring you and your new coach down." The girl through the basketball making it go in again.

"Hey, dad?" The girl said however it sounded as if she wanted to ask him something. The father of three chucked the ball back to her "did you ever want to try something new, but were afraid of what your friends think?"

Unfortunately for Raven her dads brain was on a one track course and that was basketball, "like going left? You're doing fine." He told her.

They started to play but quickly stopped again, "well...no. I mean, what if you wanna try something really new and it's a total disaster and all your friends laugh at you." Raven said to her dad.

Nathan looked at her with a soft expression, "maybe they're not your friends." The girl listened to her father thinking he finally understood what she meant but that thought was quickly taken away, "Now there's gonna be college scouts at that game next week. Know what a scholarship is worth these days?" He asked his daughter.

"A lot." Raven sighed

"Exactly, focus, come on." Nathan told her as they got ready to play again, and that was the end of that conversation.

The next day had rolled around quickly, Brady still hadn't found the right time to talk to Raven with the championship games due soon everything was chaotic.
