As Luke neared the doctors, Courtney started to shake and tremble. Luke noticed and held her hand. When the car was parked, Luke turned to Courtney and talked to her calmly. "Hey. What's wrong?"
"I just feel really anxious. What if the baby isn't healthy? What if I'm not even pregnant? What if I gave you false hope?..." Courtney burst into tears.
"Hey! Don't think like that, honey!" Luke put his arm around his beautiful wife. "If it's God's will, you'll be pregnant and the baby will be healthy. You can't give me false hope! Not now! Not EVER!" Luke gave Courtney a smile. Courtney smiled back.
Once they had checked in and were waiting for the doctor to call them in, Luke held Courtney's hand once again and whispered to her. "Everything's gonna be okay! Trust in God!"
The doctor finally called Courtney's name and Luke and Courtney followed him into his office.
The doctor decided that Courtney should have an ultrasound just to make sure she was pregnant.
After Courtney had the ultrasound, in which Luke held her hand for the whole procedure, they went back to the doctors and he said "Courtney, you're pregnant!" Joy sprung through Courtney and Luke's bodies.
"But, ah, Luke, I'll talk to you about your checkup in a minute."
"What?! What checkup? Luke, are you alright?" Courtney panicked.
