It still creaks, no matter how long it has been rotting for it just won't fall apart and no one can be bothered to fix the rotten wood this house is built from. It doesn't matter how far the wood sags or how much it whines under our weight, it festers on. Not being repaired but not finishing itself off. Wood in this house rots endlessly never being reduced to mulch as any other rotten log would. No matter how long it suffers nothing changes, sure it becomes more rotten the wood becoming softer allowing heavy footfalls to fall through. But still it festers on, the wood may have fallen through a hole it created directly into the crawl space. Yet it doesn't finish off it's cycle. Just a new hole to avoid stepping in, barely a concern as there are so many pitfalls in our rotten rotten wood.
