Locked Out

I'm locked out again, the windows are shut tight, the doors all locked and bolted, and the lights are all off. I'm skulking around the house looking for any way in. There's nothing, not a thing, no windows left unbolted, no weak wood in any door. So I start to slam myself against every door I can find again and again, to no avail. So once again I begin to search, this time for anything I can break a window with. There's nothing not even a pebble, but still I search. Finally I have to give up on even that. This horribly cold feeling has begun to set in, I must get inside, I have to get inside. I begin to slam myself against the window closet to me, again and again. But it wouldn't break, I can feel bruises form and bones break, blood begins to stain the window. First dripping now, gushing down it but still it won't break. I'm starting to become very lightheaded, and that icy feeling got stronger and stronger. It felt as tho it was freezing my blood in my veins. But still I pounded against the window. The lights remained off, not a single sound or sign of movement came from the house. I felt as though I might faint, but still I banged against the window, slower and slower each time. There was so much blood now, I can't even see the window but still I crash against it, again and again. The frigid feeling has gotten so strong now that I quite sure it froze my veins, only a matter of seconds before my heart stops. But I continued my desperate attempt to get in. Though I was barely moving at this point, I became incredibly aware of the fact that I was crying, not just crying but sobbing. My body shook against the window pane, but as quickly as it began my tears slowed. Everything, slowed my body slumped forward against the window, my eyes fluttered closed, my head fell against the window, and the icy feeling fully took over. My body laid there, crumpled, finally succumbing to it. The lights remained off, and the house stayed still.
