What now?

The next day morning I was in my own world, dreaming about impossible fantasies and scenarios but it was interpreted by a loud knock on the door.

"Jeez, who's it this early in the morning." I groaned as I slowly woke up and looked at the clock, it was 6:00 a.m. Then slowly got off the bed and dragged my feet to the door. I opened it slightly and peeked out to see who was it. To my surprise it was Daniel.

"Daniel!" I raised my eyebrows as I opened the door fully.

"Hehe, I'm sorry to wake you up this early. " He said rubbing the nape of his neck.
He stretched out his hand to give me something "You left your handbag at the restaurant yesterday. My friend and I jog every day on this way so I stopped by to give you this."

"Okay but...How do you know where I live?" I squinted my eyes at him.

"Oh, because we're friends in our chatting app right, so there's an option where we can see our friend's location." He said

"Ah, I see." I slowly nodded surprised.
"Oh and come in Daniel." I greeted him with a smile.

He hesitated at first but agreed and walked in. Daniel was quite impressed when he looked around at the interior design of the apartment.

"Daniel, would you like to have a cup of coffee?" I asked him gesturing to the kitchen.

"If you insist." Daniel shrugged.

I giggled and turned on the coffee maker
"So...about yesterday" Daniel hesitated.

I compressed my lips together and nodded gradually "I didn't expect anything to happen like that."

"Me too." Daniel sighed.

"How's Mira now?" I asked him.

"She's fine. Zack is taking care of her and they won't be coming to school today." Daniel replied as he sat down on the couch.

"Oh," I subdued and began to pour the hot coffee into two cups.

Daniel noticed that I wasn't in a good state of mind after yesterday's night. He stared at me and called my name
"Y/N."

"Yea?"

Daniel looked straight into my eyes and grinned at me "Y/N, it's over and don't think about it anymore okay?"

I took a deep breath and sighed "I know daniel but I didn't expect things to turn this way."

"No one did."

I took a second to say something

"How about we hang out today?" Daniel interrupted before I can say anything.

"But what about school?" I looked at him confused.

"Remember we are going to the retreat this week and of course everyone will be busy making arrangements for that." Daniel raised his eyebrows and shrugged.

I giggled "Daniel it sounds good but how about we go see Mira and Zack?"

"Oh, that's a good idea and I have to help my friend with the convenience store today." Daniel lowered his gaze and sipped his coffee.

"Wait! Oh my god, my friend " Daniel shouted and got out off the couch "He'll be waiting for me down I'll forget about him!"

Daniel instantly drank his hot cup of coffee and rushed to the door and turned towards me "And Y/N, it's fine we'll hang out some other day. You go check on Mira today." Daniel grinned.

"Ya okay-"

"Then bye!" Daniel rushed out of my apartment and ran down the stairs.

Seeing him running out like that made me laugh. I took my handbag and pulled out my phone from it. I tried to switch it on but the battery was dead.

I sighed in frustration "Okay, I'll go get ready until my phone gets charged." I stood up as I drank my coffee and connected my phone to the charger.

After that, I took a shower and wore my uniform, made a smoothie for breakfast and made another for Johan.

I sat down on the couch again to check on my phone. I switched it on and the first notification I saw is that I got 15 missed calls from my mom

"Great I'm dead now."

I called her back and she answered my call
"Haha, hey mom!" I nervously began.

"Y/N! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT? I CALLED LIKE 20 TIMES." She yelled at me from the phone making my eardrums explode.

"Oh no, it's 15 times."

"SHUT UP, DON'T YOU TALK BACK AT ME!"

"Mom, chill I'm fine..."

"No, don't chill me okay? Where have you been?"

"I...I went to bed soon and my phone died that's it." I answered.

Mom sighed deliberately "Okay, now listen your Dad will be coming to see us at the end of next month."

"WHAT? MOM! No way I'm going to meet him!" I shouted out.

"Y/N, please listen..."

"NO! Mom, I'm sorry but I really don't want to talk to you now. Bye!" I abruptly said and hung up the call.

I threw my phone on the couch and sat down with my hands on my head in frustration. I didn't know how to react to it. I don't want to see that man in life ever again.

By then, I heard a knock on my door and I knew who it will be. I took my bag my phone, the smoothie which I prepared for him and walked towards the door and opened it.

"You ready? let's go." Johan mumbled.

I handed him the smoothie
"Yeah..." I slowly locked the door behind me and began to follow him.

I didn't talk anything to him on the way.
My mind was only filled with questions.
Finally, we reached school. I waved Johan goodbye and started walking away from there not expecting him to wave back at me like I do all the time.

The day began to roll and everything around me didn't make me feel anything. I just felt dead inside. I didn't want to talk or listen to the class. I just sat there the whole day, idle. I could hear Zoe and Daniel talking to me but all did was nod in response to them.

The school was finally over and didn't even say bye to my friends I just walked out of the class. When I was walking towards the gate I saw Johan waiting for me but I didn't feel anything again, I didn't feel excited to see him, I didn't get the butterflies in my stomach like I used to have.

Before Johan could say anything I walked right past him. Johan didn't say anything about it too.

On the way, I saw other higher schoolers walking with their friends giggling and being happy making me remember Mira and Zack.

I deliberately stopped walking and turned around and looked at Johan

"Johan let's go see Mira and Zack."
