Bodyguard (Johan Seong X Reader)

A night before a date

While going back to school I made a call to Johan on the way saying that I'll be coming back today. He was quite surprised when I informed him about this out of the blue.

I leaned on the windows of the bus, my eyes gazed up at the gentle night sky. I noticed the grey clouds moving gradually as My thoughts slowly drifted back to incidents in the training camp.

"Mira... I'll surely protect her in the up coming days." I vowed to myself.

Finally, after 3 hours journey, we reached our school. I got down from the bus carrying one of my bags on the shoulder and another on my right hand.

I noticed Johan standing at the school gate as usual on time waiting for me. I felt happy to see him after which felt like a month without seeing him. I wanted to run and fall into his arms. But I knew if I do that Johan would push me away abruptly.

I slowly walked to Johan after saying goodbye to Jay, Daniel and Zoe. Zack and Mira had to stay with the cops for enquiry purposes.

"Hey," I grinned at Johan.

Johan took the bag from my right hand and said "Welcome back."

I blushed when he welcomed me.
"So shall we go?" I faintly smiled.

Johan nodded and we started walking from the gate. For the first 10 minutes, I felt nervous and shy being around him.

"So...what did you do while I was not here?" I mumbled out my question.

"I was taking care of other works," he responded.

"Oh"

"I wonder what he means by "other works"

I didn't ask him what were the other works because I didn't want to be nosy.
As we walked I noticed Johan's tall figure and muscular body from behind. His uneven hair dangled as he walked.

"Oof, he's so hot," I whispered to myself.

"Huh?"

I flinched when I heard his voice.
"It's nothing," I awkwardly laughed.

"No, I heard you said something is hot," he looked back at me over his shoulder.

I took a second to respond to him thinking of what to say "Ahh that I said 'Jisoo's so hot," I rubbed the nape of my neck and laughed.

"I see..."

"Thank God he didn't hear me." ಠ﹏ಠ

"So how was your retreat?" Johan asked me.

I remained silent without answering him.

He turned around and looked at me "What's wrong?" he furrowed his eyebrows slightly.

"Johan..." I hesitated but I took a deep breath in and began "I'm going to cut it to the chase now..." I hung back.

Johan stayed silently waiting to listen to me.

"Mira was nearly raped by one of the instructors," I concluded holding the gaze of Johan's eyes.

I noticed Johan's pupils dilated, his lips fell ajar.
"What?" I could hear a trembling in Johan's voice "Is she alright now?"

I nodded "Yes, Zack was able to make it there in time. He nearly killed the instructor."

Johan sighed feeling relieved. He turned back and began walking.
"Is Zack alright?" Johan mumbled

"He got his hands injured while fighting with that instructor, he'll be fine." I smiled.

"Johan still cares about Zack." ( ╹▽╹ )

"And did the instructor do anything to you?"

My eyes widened when Johan asked me that question
I shook my head "No,"

"Okay"

I thought Johan would react even more when I mentioned this but he seemed to be calm. It was as if he knew Zack will always be there to protect Mira.

Till we reached our apartment I was debating within myself whether I should ask Johan to go on date with me now or after some time.

"No, no it's now or never!" ✧\(>o<)ﾉ✧

"JOHAN!"

"Hmm?" He hummed back in response.

I clenched my fist
"Le...Let's go out tomorrow!" I told him with all my might without thinking twice.

"Ok"

I felt dumbfounded when he just replied with an 'okay'. But after that, I didn't dare to tell Johan it's a date because deep down I had a feeling that Johan wouldn't accept to go on a date with me out of the blue.

Finally, we reached our apartments. Johan told me that he wasn't hungry so he didn't want dinner. He kept my bags in and left my apartment.

I threw myself on the couch and took my phone to inform mom I didn't talk to her since she told me that dad will be coming here.

"Hello? Y/N!" Mom answered my call with excitement.

"Mom, I returned from the retreat." I paused " I'm sorry for yelling at you that day." I apologised.

Mom chuckled"It's alright Y/N, I'm glad that you're still safe."

"How are you? How is your job going on?" I asked Mom

"I'm doing good honey, how's Johan?"

Again I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach when I heard his name
"He...he is good." I managed.

"Ahh, Johan is a really good guy we should treat him after I come back!" Mom said.

I chuckled and said "Yeah."

Mom and I talked for another 10 minutes about random things. Then I hung up the phone.

I sighed "I miss mom"

My phone vibrated. I turned on my phone to see a message from Daniel saying that he and his friend will be leaving for chubby Daniel's hometown.

Me: Have a safe journey:)
Daniel: Yeah sure, take care Y/N.

"His friend Daniel seems like the generous guy. I'm sure that he has his reasons to do something illegal like this." I mumbled.

I stood up and walked to my room. I took a nice hot shower and tucked myself in my bed.

"Ahh, I'm going to confess my feelings to Johan tomorrow." I squealed and patted my feet on my bed.

"I hope everything goes well..."
