JISOO

I remember waking up in the back of a van. A van that I wasn't familiar with, filled with people that I have never seen before. Some of my drunk seems to have been slept off, but I'm still a bit tipsy. The van took a sharp corner and parked and I quickly closed my eyes to pretend that I was still sleeping. I never thought I would be kidnapped, especially since I was supposed to be with Jennie tonight. She wasn't supposed to leave my side, that bitch. 

Once everyone in the van had exited, I waited a few minutes before I hopped out the back. I closed the door and briefly jogged until I felt like I might hurl. Eventually, I got to Port Authority bus terminal and went inside, hoping to catch a bus back home. The bus station was empty this time of night so I walked straight up to the guy behind the glass to buy a ticket.

"I don't have $11," I explained to him.

"How much do you have?" he asked.

"Total?"

"Yeah," he answered and I shove my hand in my pocket and pull out gum wrappers and some change. I sift thru it on the counter.

"One dollar," I smiled to him.

His eyebrows raised and he looked up from my pile of change and gum wrappers to me. "One dollar won't get you to Newark."

Immediately, the smile was wiped from my face. "Oh, no, no. I didn't say I wanted to go to Newark." I barely got out the last word of my sentence before I sneezed all over the glass separating me and the man. My gum also flew out of my mouth and got stuck to the glass as well. The guy working looked at my chewed up gum with disgust as I just chuckled.

"That's so funny," I laugh out and then grab the gum from the glass before popping it back in my mouth. "Okay. I'm just gonna tell you something," I started, "I was kidnapped tonight. Seriously. In this van, with these guys talking about dickaches and tight ends." The guy still looked disgusted as he shook his head. "Sounds like fun, right?" I asked with a smile and winked. "Not always scary."

Then, the man working behind the glass shut his blinds on me and I let out a frustrated groan. I looked around and made my way over to a bench with the only other person in this bus stop on it. I sat beside him and decided to introduce myself. "Hi, I'm Jisoo. What's your name?"

He didn't answer me and he looked rather nervous. He kept fidgeting and wasn't making eye contact so I continued the conversation by myself, I was always good at that anyways. "That's okay, you don't have to tell me. It's been like, one of those nights, you know? I was with my friend Jennie, who you don't know but you would really like her because everyone likes Jennie and she left me tonight, which is... she never does that and then, I was kidnapped."

Nothing. The guy sitting beside me still said nothing. So I continued, "And then she- usually when I go home with her she makes me a turkey sandwich when I get home but I might never get home, you know?" I closed my eyes, holding back some tears that wanted to come out. "And I'm so tired." 

That's when I noticed he looked down at his lap, so I did too and he was holding a styrofoam box. I stared at it for a few seconds before I grabbed his wrist and looked back up at him and smiled. "Is that a turkey sandwich?"

He just nodded and I smiled again, letting out a chuckle as well. He opened the box up all the way and held it out in my direction. I took the gum out of my mouth again and handed it to the bench guy. "Can you hold this for me?" Reluctantly, he took the gum and I picked up half of the sandwich but my stomach was not agreeing with me.

I set the sandwich back in the box and stood up, about to literally throw my guts up on the floor. Before I made my way towards the bathroom, I quickly turned back to him and took my gum back from his hands. "I just need my gum," I told him before I made a beeline for the bathroom.
