Thirty Four - Ending

This was an odd position, Euntae was to my left, Danny to Euntaes left, with Rae to my right as Uncle Fisher sat us down after rough housing. Which was a misunderstanding, Rae and I were rough housing and Euntae saw Rae pulling my hair decided to jump on pulling him back which was too rough sending rae into Danny, then Danny into the front door knocking the table of poker inside over "Don't you kids know how to behave" Danny had gotten a smack on the skull with a rolled newspaper "two of you aren't even our blood but cause trouble as if this is you're own house-" "They're my friends, I'll take responsibility" Looking up just in time I got a rough smack on the head with the same paper. From the corner of my eye I could see Vasco's eyes harden at the audacity of me getting hit, grabbing his hand I gave it a small reassuring squeeze.

Our new bigger group of people sat in the living room eating happily and watching the TV. Vasco and Rae both shared a fondness toward one another, Vasco even began to call him his brother, it was nice having a male friend Vasco approved of "Now look at you being messy~" Rae's voice caught my attention, he leaned over Danny's head picking a piece of rice off Euntaes lip, the image caused my blood to boil "hey..." Rae leaned back looking at my puffy expression as I glared at him Now listen here, you're my friend but you're not stealing my boyfriend as if reading my thoughts Rae's eyes linked with mine and he licked the speck of rice of his finger "My bad, he was too cute" grabbing a shoe I chunked it at Rae's head and he mindlessly dodged snickering. Once we scuffled our way out the front I was in a head lock with Rae who had a firm forearm around my throat. He didn't hurt me or even apply pressure, he just held me there "don't hurt her" Vasco came outside looking like a puppy "I'm not, I'm just holding her~" Rae purred "are you gay?" I need to know if you're gonna advance on my boyfriend Rae moved his arm from around my neck to my waist, placing his chin on my shoulder he whispered "Halfway there babydoll~" the heat from his breath ignited my face Bisexual like Danny..... Vasco lurched forward grabbing Rae by his shoulder with his right hand and then moved me to his chest with his left hand. Rae bickered shortly with Vasco until the front door slide open and mom stepped out, her elderly presence caused both guys to still looking in her direction.

She looked to Euntae and I, then back to Euntae "we should talk.." Vasco I could see panic set in and I have him a small pat on the shoulder moving to mom who held up a hand. She blinked "I will speak to Euntae alone" chills went up my spine was it about yesterday's conversation? Shouldn't I be there too Vasco moved forward still very worried looking, mom began walking with him to the front gate then out as they, well, mom was speaking to Euntae in a low tone as he listened. When out of view I looked to Rae who shrugged "he ain't my boyfriend to worry about" I puffed out my cheeks, eye wondering to the gate maybe I can- "No, you're not following them" my head spun to Danny who appeared at the door "But-" "-their conversation would happen regardless" I sighed sitting on the deck letting my legs swing from the porch "do you know what she's gonna speak about?" Danny came sitting to my right and Rae to my left "no...I don't" he sighed. All of us looked to the sky where the dusk oranges were still visible.

It wasn't until all of the oranges, yellow, and light pinks in the sky. Fully faded into darkness with white splattered across sky representing Stars, where rae had fell asleep on my lap Danny nearly falling asleep on my shoulder. My own eyes drooping, my head nodding off here and there, I heard footsteps causing me to wake back up looking at the gateway, I see Vasco enter in with Mom, mom held a small smile on her face, Vasco his face was unreadable. With a small nudge Danny woke up soon rae following out of his slumber, looking for me then to where my eyes laid upon. I got up walking over to Mom and Vasco, Vasco seemed to ignore my gaze, when I looked at him he would look away, or most commonly towards the ground "it's quite late, how about we all go in and lay down for bed?" Mom's soothing voice spoke, as she took up my upper arm very gently and walked us four into the house. It was oddly quiet getting ready for bed, even with Vasco there, feeling the awkwardness in the room. Danny and I both shared questionable looks, since it seems Vasco wasn't only ignoring my gaze but also my brothers. Just what have they spoke to each other, why won't he speak, why won't he even look at me my mind wondered as I pulled up my sleeping bag closer to my nose, my hands were very cold due to the weather. And just due to normality of my body being colder in certain areas like my hands and my feet, sometimes my nose. Warmth took up my hand and I looked to see my brother, his chubby face held a reassuring smile as he took up my hand is he trying to call me down I took back the grip, just holding a little tighter to know I'm there, rolling towards my brother he gave me a quick pat on the head with his free hand, and I snuggled into my pillow feeling the warmth from his hand. With my mind wandering with so many questions, it did not hinder the sleep as it took me away and it's embrace, to a land full of fogginess, to a land full of dreams.
