DAVES POV:

"I'm telling you, Krist, she was perfect," I said with a sigh that occupied the silence in the house. After I talked to the girl in the dressing room I was in such total shock that I forgot to get her name or give her the number that I previously offered.

We were on the clock last night and I was really pushing it by being in that dressing room. Krist was trying to get Kurt and I in the van early so we can get to our next place early, saving gas and beating traffic.

"Well if you claim she's so perfect why don't you go and look for her?" Krist said throwing his hands in the air with defeat.  I had been going on about this girl for three days about how perfect this total stranger was, and everyone had enough.

"You don't think that's what I've been trying to do this whole time?" "I have no idea when or where her band is playing so I'm shit out of luck." I was now in defeat, I've tried for days to look for this girl, and somehow... nothing.

"You might not be all out of luck, man..." Krist said this as if had made the most groundbreaking connection of his life. Eager to find out what he discovered I responded "Well what!, What is it?!"

"Well, I just remembered Kurt met the lead singer of the band she was in." I encouraged him to continue.

"Yeah, he said he bumped into her while she was running down the hallways, he couldn't tell if she was drunk, high, or both. Either way, they had a great conversation and he got her home number.

With this information I made my way to the door in a hurry, ready to find Kurt.

Though before I ran out, I turned to Krist " You know Krist, I've only known you for you for a few weeks but you're an amazing guy and I really think we'll be good friends."

*************************************************

Maybe her name is like Lindy or Regan or maybe even Violet, I really like that name...

Guesses and other things about her occupied my thoughts as I made my way to look for Kurt. Krist had let me borrow his van, as long as I promise to pump the gas I used back into it. I heard around that Kurt likes to hang out with Tobi Vail from bikini kill at his ex-girlfriend Tracys' house so that's where I was headed.

After about ten minutes I made it over to Tracys' residence. I unbuckled my seatbelt making sure it doesn't get caught in my long hair and marched my way over to the door with excitement.

Eager to meet my mystery dream girl, I hastily knocked on the door loud enough to scare a person.  I heard rustling inside indicating someone was definitely inside.

After each passing second, I grow more and more impatient eager to meet the girl of my dreams once more. Just as I was about to knock one more the door swings open revealing a pretty annoyed Tracy Marander.

"Oh hi, Tracy umm you don't know me but I'm one of Kurt's friends.. is Kurt here?" I asked settling down a bit

She looked back at her clock then at me "Oh you know what, you just missed him, but he's on foot so you might still be able to catch him, he went that way." Pointing to the right side of the street

"YES THANK YOU SO MUCH TRACY, I OWE YOU BIG TIME" I managed to fumble out before running back into my car.

As eager as ever I drove in the direction Tracy pointed in hoping to still find Kurt. After about 2 minutes I saw his long blonde hair tucked under this woolly hat.

I pull over and run over to him. Out of breath, I managed to get a few words out. " Hey Kurt, wait up!"

"Dave?" He said in an almost whispering voice. "Yes Kurt, hi, I've been looking all over for you all day, I was starting to think you were dead?" I said with a chuckle

He said back with a chuckle almost identical to mine. "No, not yet at least, but what's wrong ?" Noticing my distress he turned his full attention to me with a worried look on his face.

"Well, I need your help, actually?" Kurt and I have only known each other for a short period of time and were not close yet so asking him a favor worried me.

"What is it?" "You better not be quitting on me already, we need a drummer." He said sounding like a half-joke and half-serious.

"NO NO I'm not kidding, I think you guys are really cool it's just I actually wanted to know if you got the number of the girl from the band that played after us?"

He stared at me for a minute as if looking at me would unlock his memory.

"Umm, yes I do actually, what do you need it for?" He said a little too defensively.

"Well I'm looking for the drummer of her band, we were talking for almost an hour but I never got her name or number."

This made Kurt smile even bigger than before. He said in this idiotic voice, the kind you would use when talking to a baby, or a small child. "Of course I can give you her number Davey Wavey"

And with this, he lifted his foot in front of him, took off his shoe, and pulled out a small piece of paper, most likely ripped from one of the many band posters that lined the walls of the establishment.

He handed it over to me, giving me a wink as he did so, put his shoe back on his foot, and walked away.

I ran back to my car, excited to finally get closer to meeting the girl of my dreams.
