As soon as Jude saw Dave she ran out of the door in fury. Who was he to show up and party with HER friends as if he didn't just ignore her for weeks?

Seeing this as his only chance, he ran after her to apologize, or maybe just say "hi" again.

Once he finally left the room after almost being toppled over by the bodies in the room, he saw that she wasn't there.

She was gone...

Sighing in defeat Dave walked out the backdoor of the establishment for a smoke break in which he desperately needed.

He slumped his lanky body against the brick wall, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a pack of camels.

He put the cigarette up to his lips, took out his lighter, and lit up.

He took a deep huff of smoke from it and slumped back into the wall.

Dave's smoking acted as his stress reliever. Even though to some people he was "too young to be smoking" That didn't stop him from lighting up daily.

He did indulge in drugs every now and then, but the hard stuff, he never laid a finger on. He vowed not to.

He didn't wanna be one of those people who become addicted to it and die at the age of 27 forever being placed into the "27 club."

What if by then he had a family, with kids he could spoil until their hearts burst of happiness?

"Ow, what the fuck?!" Dave shouted curious as to what hit his head.

"Next time it'll be a bolder asshole." Said a girl in the dark shadows.

She emerged from the shadows with a vengeful look on her face. It was the girl from the dressing room. Turns out she didn't go very far after Dave chased her down. She started to walk towards the van she arrived in but Dave saw this as his actual last chance to talk to her so he got her attention.

"Wait, pause.."

Grunting in defeat, Jude finally gave in. "Okay what"

Thrilled with the fact that she didn't run away this time he replied, "Can I first ask you what your name is so I don't keep referring to you as 'the girl from the dressing room'?"

Dave giggled in between his words, finding the nickname he gave her to be just utterly hilarious but Jude was not having it. It seems as if Daves laughing only made things worse.

"Why didn't you ask me weeks ago? Like when we first met?" Jude said colling down a bit.

At this point, they had both put out their cigarettes out of mutual respect for each other.

Dave took a long sigh and responded "You know, I think I was just caught up in the moment and it didn't dawn on me that to meet up with you and play that I would need your number or at least your name. I'm genuinely sorry but I really don't want you to hate me anymore, I just want to at least get to know you"

Jude was sympathetic to the guy. Maybe he actually didn't mean to forget. While listening to him talk Jude remembered how riveting his eyes were and how when he talked the tip of his nose moved in a downwards motion. She couldn't take her eyes off of him though she wanted to, still being furious at him.

"Well, that.. was one hell of an explanation and a good one at that." She had to admit, she was defeated. She felt horrible for not giving him a chance and maybe it was just an honest mistake. She wasn't the type to be easily forgiving but maybe she had a soft spot for Dave, one that she couldn't explain.

So she gave in.

"Alright fine, My name is Jude, I play drums much as you do." She pointed to Dave emphasizing they had something in common. Now can I go now?" Jude had softened because now she was laughing at Dave's reaction to her sudden niceness.

Maybe she wasn't that bad after all.

"Wait." Dave said giggling again "You don't know anything about me, and I still didn't get your number?"

Jude stared at him thinking about whether or not she should do it, giving in she picked Daves hand up from his side, grabbed a pen out of her pocket, and quickly scribbled her shared home number on the back of his hand.

"Alright, tell me about yourself then." Jude smiled big while saying this, realizing that she was actually interested in what he had to say next.

"Okay well, Im David Eric Grohl.." Jude couldn't help but laugh at his formalness, she liked the fact he had humor. "I also play drums as you know, and I would like to ask you on a date."

Jude was too stunned to speak. It wasn't like this was her first time meeting him, it was more of her first time getting to know him. She liked him, she liked everything about him all of a sudden.

"You wanna go out with ME?!" She said astonished at his request.

Dave didn't understand what was so hard to grasp about the question. "Well, yeah, of course, I think you are honestly so beautiful and I would say you are the coolest girl I've ever met, besides my mother of course."

Jude had to laugh at the sudden mention of his mother but she had to say, going out with his wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Jude was ready to respond to Dave until a door hit her in the face and someone grabs her by the arm. It was Courtney.

"You piece of shit, I've been looking for you for the past twenty minutes only to find out someone saw you run out of here. If I didn't know any better I would've thought you took the van and drove off." Courtney said, she was furious but also drunk so her words had no meaning to Jude.

Dave stood in front of them in shock at the tall drunk woman in front of the two. Before Jude could respond to either of them Courtney took the arm she was holding and dragged Jude to the van parked a few meters away.

Courtney was surprisingly strong but Jude managed to turn around a bit and form a hand motion to Dave who was still standing at the door watching the interaction as if it was normal. She mouthed the words 'call me' with a pitying look on her face.

Dave responded with a smile, understanding what he was supposed to do, shook his head, and made his way back on into the building.
