Chapter Thirty: Not Alone

POV: Sam/G.D.

As I exit the house I realize that my wings will break Tommy's shirt when I pull them out. Luckily my hoodie-vest is dry by now so I just change into it, keeping the pants from Phil on.

I pull out my wings with only minimal pain and begin to fly. I haven't flown in a while and it feels nice to have air rushing past me. I begin to go faster while I fly upwards.

I eventually look below me and can see so much. George's house is just a little patch of wood below me, along with Nightmare's box. All of the trees in the nearby forest have blended together, just like the stone on the mountain.

I start flying away from the house. I fly over the forest and watch it get farther away as the mountain slopes down. I fly down with the forest but still stay way above it.

I'm flying in the same direction as the setting sun so looking forward hurts my eyes. I look down at the forest and watch as the sun's light slowly turn the leaves into a beautiful amber color.

My mind is empty which feels nice. Normally I'm thinking about a thousand things at once but now I can finally just focus on the setting sun and the trees. The air around me is getting colder but it feels nice to have the wind flowing past me.

The sun eventually falls sully behind the horizon and I begin to turn around. While I'm turning I notice a small light in the distance, I fly over to it. I descend and a figure comes into view.

"Techno?" I ask as I get closer to the pink-haired person.

"Huh!" He looks up, surprised.

"What're you doing here?" I ask, landing on the ground next to him.

"I needed an escape and of course no one noticed I was gone," he grumbles.

"I honestly just thought you needed time to yourself. I thought you were still in the house!" I say, concerned. I hope Techno doesn't feel like we forgot him.

"Oh..." he mutters, "The voices got really loud so I told Phil that I was going to go collect resources and left."

"Well, I can assure you that if you come back the voices will be overpowered by Tommy talking about women," I joke.

"Heh," Techno lightly chuckles, "It's too late to go back by foot now though."

"I do have wings, we could fly back!" I exclaim.

"If I die, tell Tommy he needs to shut up about women," Techno agrees. I laugh and let Techno climbs onto my back.

We take off after Techno adjusts himself a bit and I feel him grab onto my shoulders tightly. "I've done this before and you've flown with Phil, you'll be fine," I reassure him.

Techno grunts in agreement and I speed up, heading back towards the house. We fly for a bit and I watch the stars come out along with the moon.

With Techno on my back the flight takes a bit longer than usual but we still get there within 30 minutes. When we land Techno stumbles, flying messes with your center of gravity and he's not used to it.

I open the door to a room full of people talking and laughing. "Sam! Techno!" Will shouts, coming over and forcing Techno into a slight hug. I can tell that Techno doesn't enjoy it but that's what he gets for having an affectionate brother.

"Big G!" Tommy shouts, running over to me.

"So I have a nickname now?" I ask, laughing slightly.

"You needed one so I dub you 'Big G'," Tommy laughs back. The four of us walk back into the living room and sit down. Techno and Will go back to the couch and me and Tommy go to the bed.

~Techno and Sam bonding. Fluff. I will write more angst soon just let me live off of my fluff, okay?This chapter was a fun one to write, I love writing flying scenes. Anyways, I love you/p and don't forget to take care of yourself! <3~
