Chapter 13

After everyone had returned to after the Christmas Holidays and settled back in, the girls decided to have a get-together in Mina's room. Everyone was laughing, listening to music and just having a generally fun time..

"You seem happier than usual Akari!"
Uraraka smiled at her.
"You're almost glowing!"

Akari's head snapped round to face her.
"What did you just say?"

"Glowing!"
She smiled innocently.

"Glowing?"
Akari asked.

You saw the look on Akari's face, if Uraraka didn't stop talking this wasn't going to end well.

"Yes glowing! Wait are you- no!"
She smiled excitedly.
"Oh my god, you totally could be! Are you?"
She jumped forward towards Akari with a giddy expression.

"Uraraka!"
You growled.
"Enough!"

"What? What did I say wrong?"

You saw the colour drain from Akari's face, you could hear the rapid beating of her heart as her body shook. Uraraka had triggered a panic attack.

"What happened?"
Mina asked as she crouched down in front of Akari.

"Uraraka insinuated Akari could possibly be pregnant saying she was glowing."
You side-eyed Uraraka.

"Uraraka!"
Mina said in disbelief before turning her attention back to Akari.
"Akari? Akari are you okay?"

"What did I say wrong?"
Uraraka sounded confused.
"I was happy because-"

"Not everyone wants to be pregnant you idiot!"
You growled at Uraraka and interrupted her.
"Not everyone wants babies and some people are terrified of it!"

Uraraka just looked stunned, until Mina spoke.
"Akari has Tokophobia, Uraraka. Becoming pregnant is her worst nightmare."

"Well I didn't know I-"

You interrupted her again.
"This is why you don't just assume shit!"

"Y/N, calm down."
Krystal intervened.
"Shouting at Uraraka isn't going to change what happened."
She looked at Uraraka.
"But Y/N is right, you should never just assume things like that."

"Akari? Akari?"
Mina kept repeating her name but she didn't respond, she just kept shaking.
"Krystal, keep and eye on her. I'm going to get Kiri."

You nodded and crouched down in front of her, keeping a keen eye on her condition.

"Is she going to be okay? Does she need anything?"
Momo asked, fully prepared to create something.

"Just Kirishima."
Krystal responded with a soft smile.

You kept a watchful eye on Akari up until Kirishima sprinted into the room, almost slipping as he got to Akari.

"Akari!"
Kiri was breathless as he crouched down next to her.
"I'm here, it's okay. You're okay."
He was trying to talk as calmly as possible.

And she heard him.
"E-Eijiro?"
She looked up at him, a tear falling from her eye.

She instantly wrapped her arms around him, and with such force that he grunted. He wrapped one arm around her and another under her legs, lifting her up as she clung onto him. She were still shaking in his arms.

"I've got her, she'll be okay soon."
Kiri softly smiled at the girls and you nodded at him as he left the room.

"I had no idea anyone could react like that."
Jirou said.

"I did. I somewhat feel the same, but not to that extent."
Krystal sighed.

"I hope she's okay, she's always been vocal about it but I didn't know it was a genuine fear."
Momo added with a sigh as she sat down.

"I didn't know she'd react that way I-"

You interrupted Uraraka again.
"Don't. Just don't."

When Kirishima had sprinted off to Mina's room, he didn't get chance to hear the rest of the conversation.

"Uraraka said she was glowing?"
Midoriya asked.

"Yes, she had no idea Akari was tokophobic."

Bakugo grunted.
"Of course the dumbass just assumed. She goes all googly-eyed over babies."

Deku's face slightly grimaced at Bakugo's words.
"I hope she's okay."

"I thought everyone knew about Akari's phobia."
Denki added.

"I agree."
Todoroki joined the conversation.
"She's been very vocal about it during these last few years."

"Uraraka loves children though."
Midoriya added with a sigh.

"I don't see why."
Bakugo huffed.

Bakugo watched as Midoriya's face seemed to drop even further, he seemed deep in thought.

"You losers have fun."
Bakugo shoved his hand in his pockets and walked off.
