"You're ridiculously calm for someone who's about to be attacked by an army of approximately 60 men," Choi San mused, taking in the Liu boy's sprawled form. "Are you sure you don't need help? No shame calling upon the rest of us, y'know. We're all friends here. While we may not be as strong as that bitch Kim, we still easily outnumber him."

Yangyang and San had surprisingly hit it off better than anyone had expected over the year, and one could suppose they were kind of really close now?

It all started with the Liu boy being extremely passive aggressive whenever San came to visit Yilin. He didn't like how quick to ditch class Yilin was the moment she got a call from the Saejong High boy and he really hated how much time and attention Yilin devoted to pleasing San so he'd pass her a copy of his Geography notes.

Poor San was treated like a pest for a good three months until he outrightly asked Yangyang what the Liu boy's problem was.

"What? Do you think I like her or something?" San had laughed. "Look, we are just friends, seriously. Can't girls and boys ever be just friends now?"

Somehow that had unravelled the tension between the both of them. Since their territories were pretty close to each other, they actually met pretty often. San would head over to the House of Liu for tea he honestly still didn't know how to appreciate but felt was extremely aesthetic, and Yangyang would hop over to the Kangs' to help San with schoolwork since the Choi boy was too egoistic to ask his siblings.

"Have some faith," Yangyang drawled. "I won't die so easily."

This was one of the times he was at the Kangs'. Since the House of Kim was no longer a sanctuary for him and Yilin had gone back to China, he found himself coming over more often than not.

"Stop having so much faith," San retaliated. "You might really die tonight."

The Liu boy propped his head up with an elbow, waving his other hand at his friend. "Don't worry, I have a plan."

"A plan? Just one? You should be having a few plans, like... 100!"

..

Soyeon had always felt that Sicheng's adopted younger sister was smarter than she liked to appear, and that belief was always supported by the girl's small spurts of intelligence.

But even that couldn't quite give Yilin's brilliance any justice.

"Yangyang told me that there's another name for the House of Kim," the younger girl said, turning to look her directly in the eye. "The Healing House."

Minghao had excused himself a few seconds earlier to pick up a call from his father, so it was now just the two girls.

"Yes," Soyeon affirmed softly. "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
