Brandishing an arm out, Yilin announced with her whole chest, "Where to, Mr Huang? The entire Shanghai is your oyster for the night."

Passers-by turned and stared at the two, some throwing dirty looks, others admiring. The former because the girl was ridiculously loud and the two were standing in the middle of a busy street, the latter because Lord, they were beautiful. Head-turning, eyes widening and jaw droppingly beautiful.

Renjun rolled his eyes at her, the tiniest of grins creeping up his lips, "Shut the fuck up, you're embarrassing me."

But that was exactly Yilin's point, it seemed. "Research shows that embarrassment gets answers out faster," she said cheerfully. "An especially useful method is to strip the individual naked in front of an unknown crowd."

The boy was flabbergasted. "Research done by who?" he sputtered. "Should I ask why are you're even researching on this?"

Being questioned didn't faze or offend Yilin one bit, coolly and ridiculously, she answered, "Source: Trust me bro."

Of course.

"Don't divert the question," she added. "I have no qualms undressing you here and now if I don't get an answer in a minute." Her hand twitched towards the bottom of his pullover- a taunting threat.

Renjun yielded, not wanting to take the risk, knowing full and well the girl rarely lied about doing impulsive things. "Soup dumplings, I guess. Isn't it the must-try?"

"Not wrong," she hummed, already mapping out their journey, mentally calculating the travel time and expenses. "Let's take a cab and charge it to my favourite Dong sibling."

"Which I'm guessing isn't Siqi?"

"Don't ask the obvious, Injun."

..

It was taking every fibre in San to restrain from leaping across the table and punting the pretty Dong boy, and from the subtle smirk on the latter's face, it was clear Sicheng knew exactly how he felt.

San didn't expect any less, really. He'd heard and seen enough about the Dong boy to know that there was no fucking way Sicheng could be doing something he didn't calculate the consequences of.

There was even lesser of a possibility he only went to the Choi Headquarters to talk to Choi Siwon about the latter's audacity to try scout Yilin. Like Hell, seriously? Of all the times Sicheng could have done so, why now? And why so coincidentally divulge information that doesn't exactly pertain to the conversation too?

"If it was supposed to be top secret, then why and how did Lee Taeyong come to know about it?" the confusion on the Dong boy's face was so believable San would have yielded if he hadn't caught the irritable smirk Sicheng threw at him when no one else was looking. "He most certainly did not tell me to keep it a secret too. Did y'all fight?"
