BRYNLEE

"Welcome back to St. George's Park everybody! Congratulations on your call up. I'm excited to work with you guys again. Most players know each other already, but we have a few new faces around here." Southgate began. He walked towards a boy with a dark skin tone, very cute, curly hair and like a average length.

"Everybody, this is Bukayo Saka. He's a midfielder and one of our youngest players, 19 years old." Bukayo started smiling. He waved to all the players and shook hands with Southgate. "And here we have Jude Bellingham, our rookie."  Jude rolled his eyes, but laughed a bit. "18 years old and already in the national team. I don't want to see him getting bullied." He said in a playful tone, looking towards two specific players.

"Wow, hold up. We never bully." Someone said with the number 4. "No actually, I don't bully. Mase will probably do." He laughed.

"I didn't miss you, Dec." He rolled his eyes, but smiled brightly. I guess those guys were Declan Rice and Mason Mount? I did some research when I got told that I was in the team.

"And over here, we have our first female player. She's been playing very well with Manchester United lately. Her name is Brynlee Norris, 20 years old." I could feel that I started blushing, so Southgate wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "I think this powerful woman will teach you boys some lessons while training." He laughed and gave me a quick side hug.

"You guys have some time to get to know each other and catch up. In 2 hours, so at 4pm I expect you all on the training field." He smiled and went to talk to the men who helped him with training.

"Bryn!" I heard two people almost yelling my name. I turned around to look who it were.

"Jess! Marc!" I almost yelled back and gave my teammates a hug. "I'm so happy you guys are here as well. This nervousness is killing me."

"Oh, shut up Norris. Those guys will like you." Jesse winked.

"Stop it, Lingard." I pushed him a bit.

"I'm joking, but I'm convinced they will like you. In a normal way."

"I agree. You are indeed the first female player around here, but you're incredible and definitely deserved this. I can't wait to see you beating those asses from the guys." Marcus said, giving me a playful side push. I began to think of that one call.

"Bryn, your phone is ringing! It's an unknown number." My friend Ayla said. I ran to the kitchen, because that's where my phone was charging. I clicked the green button and placed the phone against my ear.

"Hello. With Brynlee Norris." I spoke up.

"Hi, Brynlee! You're speaking with Pascal from the national England team. I have some good news for you. Gareth Southgate wants you in his team." My heart stopped for a split second. I didn't know how to react. "Are you still here?"

"Yea-yeah. Sorry. I'm a bit speechless, isn't the national team for men?"

"It was, but Southgate has been following you for some time and he thinks you definitely fit in this team." Pascal said, obviously happy.

"Jesu- Sorry. This is insane. Thank you so much." I responded, tears creeping into my eyes.

"No problem, Brynlee. I'm excited to see you on the field. By the way, some information. You will be picked up in a week from now, so Wednesday at 1 o'clock. The rest will come. If you have more questions, call me on this number, okay?"

"Yes, I will do. Thank you so much."

"No need to thank me. I'm just the one calling the players." He said laughing. "See you next week!"
