BRYNLEE
I woke up from the strokes of light that slipped through the curtains. Match day! But not only match day, also qualifying day, so I noticed some nerves coming up. We were classified with France, Australia and Serbia. We were playing against Australia today. Probably the easiest team to defeat, but I don't need to get my hopes too high.
I grabbed my phone from the side table and saw that it was 09:00am. Our last training before the match was at 12:00am. I heard training would last until 01:30pm, so I had enough time to watch the qualifying, which was at 02:00pm.
Before I got out of bed, I texted Lando good luck. He always enjoys the Belgian Grand Prix and I know he will do again this weekend. I opened my Instagram to see a new post from Ayla, she looks gorgeous. I love that girl with my whole heart. The fact she was there when I got called up for the squad, it really means much to me. She's the only real friend I have outside the football world. It's funny, because we always get called 'duo penotti' because she got really blonde hair and my hair color was brown. I'm really lucky to have her in my life, because she never judged me about my career or just me in general. She always motivates me to keep going and always understands me.
Her new post was for her first shoot as a model. Since she showed up in my timeline, she got recognized by some labels, which she's really thankful for. I love that I can help her this way. Her first shoot was for Calvin Klein and she looked incredible. I commented 'You go girl! 😍'.
I noticed that I wasn't following most of the England lads, so I did that first before I got out of bed. I started to follow John, Declan, Ben, Kyle, Phil, but then I got to @/masonmount. I sighed when I looked through his feed. Many thoughts were streaming through my head. All his photo's were of him, smiling. Always smiling. He looks so happy and also so caring and loving to his friends, family and teammates, but when it comes to me.. His smile disappears immediately. The worst thing is, why do I even let him access my brain? Now it's really time to get him out of my head and don't give a fuck about him. He's just my teammate, just show him respect, nothing more and nothing less.
It was also time to get out of bed. I walked to the mirror and inspected my appearance. It's like I always have been fighting in my sleep. Time to clean this mess that was me, and get to breakfast. I put my hair in a messy bun and got in the shower. When the heated water touched my skin, I felt some peace again, because this day is probably going to be full of emotions.
When I finished showering, I put on a comfy England hoodie with the training shorts. I quickly curled the last ends of my hair and put it in a ponytail. After a tiny bit of make-up, I was ready to grab some breakfast.
I walked in the restaurant when I heard some doing that flirty whistle. "Stop that!" I yelled when I made eye contact with Jesse.
I started walking up to him, he sat with Marcus, John, Kyle and Luke. "Not my fault that you keep getting better looking, ma'am." He smiled.
I felt my cheeks heating up and slapped his arm. "Stop that, again." All the lads on this table started laughing and we got some questioning looks from the others in the room. Me and Jesse never got feelings for each other, but we love each other to dead. Just as Marcus. I really got that brother-sister bond with both of them, but Marcus was the more serious one and Jesse the funny one. He always compliments me, first I thought it was sarcasm, but he told me he always means it when he compliments me. "Time for me to grab some breakfast." I said before I quickly walked away.
I had my plate and looked through everything they had to offer today, but a voice interrupted me. "Norris got a bit nervous at table, huh?" I turned around and was met with his mischievous smile.
