BRYNLEE
"What's the problem?"
"Jezus, you're grumpy." Lando laughed to my response.
"Well, yeah. You just woke me up, asshole." I slowly opened my eyes to let them adapt to the light. "You always call me on the worst times."
"It's literally 9 in the morning, what do you mean?" Lando asked, really confused.
"Bro, you haven't woke up either. It's one hour earlier in the UK than in the rest of Europe, dumbass."
"Oh my god." He started to laugh really loud, even when I didn't see him I just knew that he got tears in his eyes. "I forgot. I'm sorry."
I just had to smile a little, because of the dumbass he is. "Well, what's up Lan?"
It took him a while to calm down, but he managed it after a good minute. "Me and Daniel watched the match yesterday, I'm so proud of you. Your first official debut and you made an assist? That's crazy."
"Thank you so much, but don't get me crying please. I almost did on the field." I scoffed.
"I saw. You saw him, didn't you?" He already knew since it's our thing to do. "They zoomed in on you when you looked in the air."
"Well, nice." I sighed.
"It's okay, Bryn. It's our way of coping. Even though it is almost 4 years ago, that's not a reason to not be sad about it." Lando started speaking. I felt a speech coming. "There's just one thing I need you to know and that is that I'm super proud of you, of us. We both made our dreams come true so far, even when we only had each other. And besides that, you had to see Daniel when you made that assist. He really looked like that proud big brother."
His speech brought tears to my eyes. Daniel is really like a family member to me. He's the only one with Ayla that knows almost everything about my past, and Lando's of course. Since he was like 10 years older than us, he saw us as their little siblings. Doing everything he can to make us happy and it worked to be honest. He always was there to listen or just to make us laugh. He really knew what to do.
Lando started to smile. "It's okay, Bryn. I love you."
"I love you too." I almost whispered. "I just miss him. Sometimes it even makes me think about Troy."
"I miss him as well, but please, get him out of your head. He treated you horribly. If dad knew how he left you, he would totally have kicked his ass." He laughed carefully.
"Yes, true." I smiled. "By the way, how are you? After the accident and all that. I was really scared."
"Oh yeah, everything's fine. It was a shock, really, but I only have a stiff neck. I'm lucky that they improved the safety of the car in the last couple years." He said while he moved his head to stretch.
"Yeah, indeed. It was a shocker. Declan came here to calm me down. He watched it with Mason apparently."
"Didn't Mason come look at you?" Lando raided his eyebrow.
"Lando, of course not. You have to realize there wasn't anything between us other than hate. Or actually, from his side." I sighed. "Maybe it will go better after yesterday, but we'll see."

Today we had a rest day, or actually, the people that have been playing yesterday. We only went on a walk in the morning, but the rest of the day we were free. The match went pretty great after our moment. Mason and I had a great chemistry and we even created another goal chance, but a defender cleared it. The game ended in a 2-0 result for us, Kane with a good header. We conceded one goal, but it was off-side. The defenders did a good job, they were a lot better in the second half than in the first half.
"Here's our assist-maker." Ben said when he pulled me into his side.
"Hi." I just smiled up to him.
"Everything alright with my 007?" He asked, worrying a bit since I answered curtly.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Perfectly fine." I mumbled the last bit. Again smiling at him, hoping that he will not notice my mood. After I ended my call with Lando and went to prepare myself for the morning walk, I received a message from Troy. It read 'Hi sweetheart, I watched the game yesterday. Norris was a bit sad, huh? Maybe you need to stop crying on tv and try to get pity. You just had some luck yesterday. You are not a good footballer and you never were.' My heart sunk to ground level when I got that message. We haven't talked in like 2 years straight and now he's trying to hurt me again? He knows what I've been going through and still he wants to hurt me even more.
"Look who we got here." I was pulled out of my thoughts by Mason's voice.
"Well, hi." I said, still looking at the ground. My body wanted to get out of here, being alone.
"You made an assist on your debut and you're here, being all sad?" Mason scoffed, not realizing how she was feeling.
My heart couldn't handle all this pain. "Fuck off, Mount." I said on a low tone. It was good that we were the last of the group, because otherwise they would probably have heard me. I brought my hands to my face, trying to stop the tears that were creeping in to my eyes.
"So childish." Mason mumbled and walked forward. I felt Ben linking his arm with mine, holding me closer to him.
"What going on with you, Bryn? Where's that happy, confident girl of our team?" Ben said, clearly worry taking over his voice.
"I don't want to talk about it, really. Maybe later." Quickly looking over to Ben, giving him a look that he really don't need to ask any further.
"Okay, that's okay. Please, open up if you're ready. I'm here." He gave me a quick forehead kiss and we picked up our pace a bit, catching up the group.

I would've almost forgot it because all the crazy things happening yesterday, but it was race day today! Lando started from P10 since he crashed at the beginning of Q3. I was happy that it was a rest day, because that meant that I could hide myself in my room for the rest of the day and watch my favorite sport besides football.
It was still pouring rain in Belgium. Perez apparently crashed in the lap towards the grid, so he had to start from the pit lane. The cars did a few formation laps behind a safety car, but after a while they red flagged the race. It was too risky to race out there, so they postponed it. I just kept the tv on while scrolling a bit through my phone, finally some time to reply to some people. I texted Ayla back, since she messaged my a few times already, saying that I would call her in the next few days.
The race kept being postponed to the rain which kept pouring out of the air. It was really boring that there was no race at this moment. I felt so bad for all the people that went to the circuit. For most people it maybe was the worst race day ever, but I found myself pretty amused. They showed scenes from Daniel wanting to be an MMA fighter, the Alpine crew doing the macarena, the marshalls doing a bocce game in the gravel, Sainz and Leclerc playing chess, Daniel trying to let the audience do a wave, the Alpine crew playing cards, a Redbull member almost slipping away, Vettel and Schumacher playing football, which was the cutest sight ever, and the most funny one of all, they showed Lando sleeping on a chair. Of course I had to take a picture of it. Such a little child.
