BRYNLEE

"Time for the first training!" Southgate yelled.

Everyone gathered up in the hall and we walked towards the changing rooms. Or actually the room where we pick up our training shoes. I got my babies out of the cold box and tried them on. Declan came in with Mason and Ben, laughing around. I gave Mason a glance and I saw that he was staring at me, that was weird..

"Bryn, wait for me." Ben said when I started to walk out of the room. He laced his shoes and walked up to me. "Are you excited? Your first training."

"Yeah, I actually am." I said, giving him a smile.

"I will nutmeg you, just to warn you."

"Well good luck with that Chilly. Let's turn it around and say that I will nutmeg you." I replied when we walked onto the field.

"The game is on Norris." He laughed and pushed me a bit forwards. I could hear that Declan and Mason were walking behind us, probably gossiping because those boys are almost highschool girls. We all gathered around Southgate so he could explain what we needed to do.

First we needed to do a warm up, we split up in 3 groups. Forming a line and we did the normal warm up, that was nothing really new, because we also did that with Manchester United. After a while we started to do rondo's and I was with Ben, John, Harry, Bukayo, Jesse, Jadon, Declan and Mason. It was really fun, because we were focused, but everyone started to scream when someone got nutmegged. Ben stood in the middle, together with John and they ran around the circle, trying to get the ball, but when Ben ran towards me, I nutmegged him. Everyone went crazy and pushed Ben from all sides. He covered his head in his hands, pretending to be crying. I laughed and went towards him to give him a hug. "Sorry, mate." I laughed a bit louder.

"I'm so embarrassed." He said into my shoulder, when we gave each other a hug.

"You shouldn't have challenged me." When I said that, he pushed me off him, crossing his arms and pretended to be angry. "You're funny, Ben." I said messing up his hair. "Let's get going."

Training went really great so far. The boys were really good, but I felt that I could match their level. It was now time for some shooting. I had to pass the ball to one of the trainers, they will pass them back and I had to finish it with one touch.

Phil went first and made a great goal. Shooting the ball in the lower left corner. Kyle went next and he missed, actually Jordan saved it, but the trainer passed the ball a bit to slow so Kyle had to shoot with his weak foot. I went next and I shoot the ball against the inside of the left pole, so he ended up in the net on the right side. Everything said their ooh's and I could feel that they hyped me up for a bit. Mason was next and he really made a screamer. With so much power he shoot the ball in the upper right corner. Everyone hyped him up as well, and when he walked back to the group, he looked at me and winked. I rolled my eyes in response, so selfish. But I have to admit that he was hot. I've always found it attractive when a boy was good with the ball, and he actually looked really good in the training kit. That doesn't change the fact that I don't like him, because he's so arrogant.

We finished training and walked back to the building. I was zoned out when I felt some company next to me. "You did great, Bryn. Honestly, I didn't expect you to be this good."

"Thanks, Dec." I smiled.

"That nutmeg on Ben was so funny. Oh, and you had to see Mason's face when you scored." He laughed.

"Yeah, Ben said he would nutmeg me, but I turned it around." Ignoring his last comment, because I didn't know what to say on it.

"Join us with dinner, tonight. I'm going to a restaurant with some of the boys." He proposed.

"Okay, who will come along?" I asked. I have met most of the boys now and I could say that literally everyone is so kind. Obviously, it was weird that a woman had joined their team, but they were all really respectful and welcoming towards me.

"Mason, of course." He raised his eyebrows with a smile. "But also Phil, Ben, Jesse, Marcus and Luke."

"Oh, fun! Yeah, I will come."

"Meet us in the hall around 7 pm, alright?"

"See you then." I gave him a quick hug and walked further towards my room. Finally some time to clean myself up. I opened the door and walked straight to the bed, letting myself fall onto the soft mattress.

I began to think about what Lando said to me. Bring Mason if you want. It reminded me that Mason and him have met a few weeks ago, at Silverstone if I'm right. Daniel also met him. Both drivers told me that he was a really nice guy and so fun to be around. When I see Mason with one of our teammates he actually seems to be fun to be around, but when I come close, he changes. Or it looked like it. He probably just doesn't like me. Why am I even thinking about him? It's not that he thinks about me and not in that way at all.

It was time to take a shower since it was already half past five. I turned the shower on and took off my clothes. When the water was warm enough, I stepped in the douche cabin. I felt my body starting to relax when my skin came in contact with the water. Showering was one of my favorite things. I'm someone who can stand under the shower for like 45 minutes, but it was also the time that I could start to overthink.

I'm a pretty confident girl I must say, but I'm pretty shattered as well. My dad died when I was 17, 3 years ago. It still hurt like hell when I think about it. He was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, which meant that it wasn't curable. Our mom wasn't really in the picture since I was 5, so I was really a dad's daughter. And if it couldn't be heavier, my boyfriend broke up with me just after my died died, because he thought that everything was a black hole when he was with me. That I wasn't positive at all. It actually took me quite some time, before I was able to pick up football again. Since a year, I accepted the fact that my boyfriend left me, but my dad is still a really emotional topic.

It is weird, because from the outside I'm really confident and people would describe me as an extrovert girl, but there is also a side which is really introvert. Mostly if it's going about emotions or that type of stuff.

My dad always supported me throughout my football career. He always said that I would become one of the most famous women footballers and honestly, that kept me going. That's what brought me here.

I could feel that I was taking too long to shower, so I turned it off when I was done. A message popped up on my phone when I wrapped my hair in a towel.

"Dec here, dress casual. See you in a bit!"

Well, okay...
