"Missing you was too hard for me..." Elias whispers and my heart feels like it's about to beat out of my chest. "So it was easier if I try to forget you."
I release a slow breath as my fingers find the nape of his neck. I feel myself pull myself closer to Elias, feeling the need to have him kiss me and touch me once again.
"And then I come back and find out about Jeremy." Elias speaks out like the name was poisonous. I feel his fingers tighten around me as he spits out my boyfriends name.
My boyfriends name.
My boyfriend.
The sudden realization makes me push Elias away. I watch Elias' previous expression turn into utter confusion as we lose all physical contact.
"Right," I say and nod. "Everyone's probably wondering where we are." I dust off something imaginary from my shirt. Trying to wipe off the feeling of Elias' fingers touching my skin.
My skin feels like it's missing something vital, like it needs Elias back. I push the thought to the back of my mind as I begin to walk towards the huge wooden doors.
I feel Elias following behind me, my brain sensing when he's close. Almost like a magnet inching towards the other.
As I'm about to reach for the intimidating doors, it opens for me. On the other side stands Adam with a smile.
"I was just about to come look for you guys," Adam says referring to Elias and myself. I give my twin a smile and look back at Elias.
"We talked things through, it's all okay now." I give Elias a look of reassurance and turn back around to face Adam. I ignore the distant look Elias holds, and try to concentrate on my brother.
"Oh good," Adam nods and opens the door wide open. "Now you can stop being emotional and come join us."
Adam directs his eyes at me as he says the word "emotional". I open my mouth in shock. The audacity of my brother to call me emotional.
"I'm not emotional." I feel the need to stomp my foot on the ground, huff out in anger and make my point.
"Aw is someone getting emotional again?" Adam says in a childish voice, pouting his lip and trying his best to antagonize me.
"Shut up," I complain and push past my annoying brother. Adam unfortunately doesn't have an off button and he will annoy me till the end of time, unless I don't give him the chance to.
I don't actually get too far —only a few steps inside the cabin—as my jaw hits the ground.
The cabin is a literal mansion. The floor is made of white marble, in front is a big staircase that leads upstairs and right in the center is a huge, diamond, chandelier.
"Must be nice to be filthy rich." Elias scoffs and walks past me to what seems like a living room.
I pick my jaw off the ground and turn to look at Adam who shrugs and follows Elias. Taking a deep breath, I force my feet to follow my brother and join the others.
The money doesn't stop at the entrance as the living room is even more impressive. With big, inviting couches around the room, glass tables, a fireplace and windows that stretch from the ground all the way up to the ceiling.
