It's already the closing of the cafe, Mark was busy wiping the counter with a white damped cloth, humming some of those familiar tune he heard on the radio. It was already night but he still have to go to his second part-time which is a graveyard shift at a corner store.
"Hey, Mark! you finish there?" Haechan called as he wipe his hands ith the apron tied around his waist, Haechan also was finishing up and was finally finish washing those final sets of cups that have been used.
"Yeah, I'm finished " Mark answered and walk inside the utility room to put the dirty cloth inside where it was supposed to be placed, he then go to the locker area within the cafe where Haechan is right now. The both of them remove their apron, arrange their belongings first, Mark also put on his hoodie that he was wearing earlier.
"Wow~, I saw the cute kid again" Haechan chirped, Mark jerk his head low and chuckle.
" I served him his coffee earlier, he smiled at me" Mark cheekily said. "Ahh, no fair! He was always emotionless and stern so I can't approach him " Haechan thumps his feet reacting cutely for Mark to see, since Mark once again has a small interaction with the guy and Haechan have zero
"Why are you even crushing on a high schooler?" Mark retorted, He notice the kid's uniform and figure that the guy is attending the National Highschool near their university. "Well I already knew him back in high school, I'm his sunbae" Haechan proudly says putting his hand on his chest as he declares that.
"Does he even know you're his Sunbae?" Mark said with a wheeze which made Haechan frown. "You're mocking me, Of course, he doesn't, he doesn't go to any socializing so how could I talk to him" Haechan protested, which make Mark just laugh.
"He even looks more dominant than you, he just looks shy as for being an alpha" Haechan look at Mark curiously as the older said that. " I know he'll be dominant, he looks fierce sometimes so I figure he is an Alpha " Haechan answered, "But gender doesn't really matter, We could like anyone" Haechan happily added with an evident smile.
Mark didn't comment further and just look at Haechan being happy, he does agree that genders don't matter but without leveling gender love can be problematic. Differences can make a couple suffer, that's what Mark believes in.
"Come on, let's go I need to go home, I wanna sleep so bad!" Haechan whined, pulling his school bag with him. Mark followed him as they both went out in the back door. It was already dark, the moon is a little dim tonight and only the streetlight illuminate the place.
It's only a walking distance from where Mark lives and it's a little near to Haechan's house. Haechan was expecting to turn to the same street as him but it was rather not.
"Aren't you living in the same street with me? Where you going" Haechan asked confusedly pointing at the direction they were supposed to take.
"I have another work, have you forgotten?" Mark answered and Haechan just realize it and he totally forgot. Maybe because of the cold wind his common sense got flewn away with it.
"Man! Humans need sleep Mark you're overdoing yourself " Haechan was of course concerned for his friend. Being an engineering student is really difficult that's why Haechan didn't take that course because he will probably die with the Calculus engineering do inside their class, he sees it as some voodoo magic, he is an aspiring architect but he will say no to math!
He does well in class though, he doesn't get failing grades but Mark! He is so amazed by his sunbae that even though he works two part-time he still manages to get to the president Listers. It was amazing!
"I gotta go, you go home first, I can rest in the corner store there are only a few customers at midnight so I can get some rest between jobs" Mark then explained, Haechan just pouted and without a choice just nodded in response.
