'Shoki!'

"Hey! Did you hear the news?"

"No, what?"

"Loki and Shaade had a massive fight yesterday evening, after the ball."

"Ooh! What about?"

"I'm not sure."

"Hi guys!"

"Hi! Did you hear?"

"Yeah! I wonder who?"

"What are you on about?"

"What are you on about?"

"Loki and Shaade's fight."

"I didn't know they had a fight!"

"Well, they did. What was your news?"

"Shaade kissed someone yesterday."

"What?!"

"Who?!"

"I don't know. Whoever she is she's about to have her heart broken. He's such a player."

"True, true."

"Hey, maybe it was Loki!"

"What do you mean?"

"Shoki!"

"Oh God yes!"

"Shoki is canon!"

"Look! Rebecca and Sophie are over there. Ask them what happened!"

"Um... hi..."

"Go away."

"What happened with Loki and Shaade yesterday?"

"Loki threw Shaade into a tree and Shaade punched Loki in the stomach. Shaade got his head split open and Loki had his arm broken. Happy?"

"No, I mean about Shaade snogging this mystery girl?"

"What?!"

"He didn't tell us that."

"Well Heidi saw it happen."

"I didn't see it, I heard this morning."

"Where are Loki and Shaade anyway?"

"They both vanished."

"And more to the point, where's George? She hasn't come in today."

"I hope she's alright. Hey, maybe she was abducted!" 

"Don't say that, Becca!"

"Why not?"

"Because if it's true we know that you did it."

"Hey!"

Shaade watched from the shadows, enveloped in darkness with a stabbing pain in his stomach. He winced and adjusted his grip on the shadows. A head turned his way but the eyes slid over him, not seeing the boy hidden in plain sight.

"So," he murmured, "humans do gossip a lot. I wonder where they get their information?"

"When he comes back to school I'm asking him who his girlfriend is," a voice said loudly.

"Hey, it's Loki!" another girl shouted. The god of mischief stormed over to the wall where Shaade was stood and grabbed at what seemed to be thin air. Shaade was flung against the wall, smashing his already-cut head. All the air left him and he cried out, cursing in Asgardian as the shadows evaporated. Gasps came from all over the room as Shaade was revealed. Loki growled as he was swung around, Shaade using razors of darkness to lash out and drag his opponent through the window. Despite hurling Loki out with all his strength Shaade was still yanked out after him. The boys crashed to the ground, flattening a bush and rolling underneath a car. Loki kicked Shaade away and Shaade whacked his head on a tyre, leaving a bloodied stain on the rubber. He groaned and started to crawl away.
