By time Envy and the two Kings got to the Dining Room, the foreign King speaks quickly.
"Sorry, but i believe i asked for the King.." He trails off, running a hand through his greasy hair. Kairi takes a seat at the end of the table, "Yes, this is she." Kairi chuckles. The King pauses for a minute, then chuckles. "Right, right. i must've forgotten.." He laughs quietly, seeming uncomfortable. He sits down and intertwines his thick fingers, looking up at the other King. She simply gives a soft smile as she waits for him to talk. "I've been meaning to ask you about your lan-"
"Aren't you hungry? From that long journey from Vianna, i'm sure your famished." She kindly interrupts. As she's about to call Envy, he says, "I don't see how this is relevant to the conversation." Kairi waves her hand dismissively "Please, relax. There's no need to be jumping into such serious matter. Let's just enjoy a nice brunch while we speak, no?" Envy notices how calm and carefree shes acting, despite looking so serious and sophisticated. He purses his lips, then sighs. "Ok i suppose..." kk smiles and turns to Envy, smiling quietly. "Knight Envy, go fetch Knight Khai and tell him to bring me two plates of eggs and bacon, please? I'm sure the cook has already made it, and it's just waiting for us."
Envy flinches—forgetting why the King is talking to her— but quickly nods and power walks to the door. As she opens it and leaves, she can hear Kairi distantly say, "Now that she's gone, what we're you saying about land...?" Oh gosh- Envy hopes she wasn't interrupting their important conversation? Envy jogs down the stairs. Though, it is certainly her job to keep an eye on the King while she's with a guest. Envy only shrugs as she heads over to the kitchen, seeing Khoi standing on guard.
He looks over, and waves. Envy runs up to him. "Knight Khai-"
"Just Khai is fine."
"Oh- got it! Khai, the king has requested for you to give her two plates of eggs and bacon!" Envy says, back straight. Khai frowns. "Why can't you do it?"
Envy shrugs. "I dunno- she asked me to ask you!" and Khoi squints suspiciously. "There wasn't any other Head Knight with you that could do it?" Envy scratches the back of her neck. "Well- no not really." And Khai pauses. He blinked, long lashes putting emphasis on his confusion. "What? What do you mean?" He questions, stepping closer to the Fourth Knight. Nervously, she backs up. "uh..?" Envy trails off, not getting it. "I was the only one guarding them." Khai seemed like he was about to yell at her, but paused again. "Did she say anything before you closed the door..?" Envy nodded, looking to the kitchen door. "Yeah, something about land?" Khai snaps his fingers and points at her, eyes widening. "She did that on purpose! We need to go, now." He finishes, jogging past Envy.
Confused, Envy follows shortly. "What do you mean by on purpose?" She semi-yelled, running next to her superior. "She wanted you to hear that. There's no way she'd purposely send her only Knight of defense away when talking about something so trivial as land." Khai explains, speedily ascending the stairs. "She was trying to get you to get another Head Knight." He finishes as they both approach the door. His hand hovers over the doorknob, and turns to Envy. "When we go in there, you'd got to be ready to fight, Okay?" Khai warns. Envy, anxious but ready, nods and grips her sword.
Khai sends the door flying and they both run in to see King Huxon on the ground with a sword to his neck, and King Kairi with a foot on his chest and a deathly dark look.
"If you ever, and I mean ever, try to threaten me or my kingdom again, you will watch your daughter, son and wife's skin be torn apart at my hand." Her unpigmented hair touches the ground as she leans her head down, sword almost piercing the man's neck. "And you will be sure to join them. Do you understand me..?" She breathed threateningly. First, Huxon said nothing. He just glared up at the powerful woman, spiteful. But then sighed. "Understood." He said quietly. She didn't remove the sword, but instead pushed it closer. "If you ever try to attack my Kingdom, you will watch as your castle crumbles to the floor and grieve as your Knights, Subjects and family be ripped to shreds." She leans closer. "Do. You. Understand me?" She purred dangerously.
Envy can see as Huxon begins to shake, but his expression remains brave but submitting. "Yes, I understand." Finally, Kairi leans up and takes her foot off of the man, removing the sword. "Good. I hope we can still be comrades after this misunderstanding." Kairi smiles kindly, putting her sword back onto her hip. "Yes... I do too. I must get going. Excuse me.." The King pushes through Envy and Khai, who are frozen in shock.
The door closes, and King Kairi pulls a chair back up from the floor and pushes it in. "I'm sorry you both had to see that." She smiles apologetically. "Please, take the rest of today off as my apology."
Both Knight Khai and Envy take a knee. "Thank you, your excellency."
She smiles, "But first, please escort me to my wife?" She asks. Khoi spoke up quickly. "Of course, your majesty. Right this way." He answered, turning on his heel and walking out the door. Envy and Kairi both followed.
By time they got to the Throne room, 3 secondary Knights were cleaning up the mess of cards, along with the table and chairs as Makai sat in her throne seeming dozed off. As soon as she caught sight of her wife, she perked up and walked over to her, planting a big kiss on her cheek.
"How did the meeting with King Huxon go?" She smiled, slipping her hands into her wife's. Kairi put their foreheads together, noses slightly touching. "Everything went just as planned." She answered calmly. Envy looked over to Ash, who was currently walking over to Envy and Khoi. With big eyes, he silently said, "YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED."
Envy, with even wider eyes, responded silently, "NO YOU ACTUALLY WONT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED."
Khai almost smelt their silent idiocy, and turned to walk away. But suddenly, someone barged through the door.
"KING! QUEEN! ITS PRINCESS SAMANTHA!"
"Her expressions and ways of communication are all too the same. ive missed our funny conversations."
